Can Jon Kyl -Republican Senator from AZ, be unseated?
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2006/04/is_arizona_viable.html

<snip>
Talk to Democratic Senate strategists about their top pick-up chances this fall and they list one open seat (Tennessee) and six challenger races (Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Ohio, Montana, Missouri and Arizona).

<snip>
Democrats crowed when wealthy developer -- and former state party chairman -- Jim Pederson decided last year to challenge Sen. Jon Kyl (R), but Pederson's campaign has done little since to justify that confidence.

<snip>
After months of running a largely listless campaign, Pederson took to the airwaves this week with a 60-second and a 30-second ad aimed at introducing himself to the voters of the state

<snip>
"I don't care if it's a Republican idea or a Democrat idea," Pederson says in both ads. "I'll be an independent Senator who gets results and puts the people of Arizona ahead of party politics."

1. he's a conservative Dem so has a real shot at the seat esp with
Janet heading the ticket.

but he's a good party man, was the chairman of the state party recently

don't expect him to come out strong on the most leftist issues, but he'll be a good soldier in the Senate IMO

he'd be a Harry Reid kind of guy in my best estimation

2. Not familiar with Pederson, but I automatically prefer him if Kyl is his
opponent.

Jon Kyl is a walking dildo.

3. Is Gov. Napolitano popular enough to carry a Democratic Senate
candidate on her coattails?

That would be nice.

I realize there's a lot of split-ticket voting in the country.

But it would be mighty fine to see blue, blue and more blue in the Western states.

Arizona, Colorado -- you all know the map.

4. Sure he can, make sure he is wearing some slidey material in his
pants and then when he is not paying attention yank the chair away from him while also lifting it slightly.

He will be unseated right enough.
