ALL of progressive talk radio is a plus for Dems....
I won't mention names of anyone here at DU nor will I mention any of OUR progressive talk radio hosts. All of our progressive radio hosts have something to offer to the growth of the liberal movement.

If you remember, and you should, two years ago the republicans owned the talk radio airwaves. Thanks to all of our radio hosts that has changed. I think all of this is changing because we now have people on the radio discussing items like Iraq, the military, Veterans benefits, the White House, Congress, Unions and a mountain of other things. If you don't like what one host is saying at the time you can listen to another one on your computer, or by podcasting. I'm even finding other progressive shows on the radio instead of AAR. We are getting bigger, bigger and bigger and I think it's scaring the hell out of the other side. We all have disagreements with some hosts and sometimes they disagree with each other.

What I'm trying to say is, from center to left, we are a HUGE party with a lot wants and needs. It takes a lot of different types of hosts with a lot of different messages to keep us together as one giant party. We can agree and we can disagree, that's what makes us so inclusive. We have a huge tent with a plethora of wants, ideas and needs.

Every progressive radio program and every progressive host is needed so we can bring all of our ideas to the table.

1. Good point
I won't mention any names either. Some I like, some I don't but it doesn't have to do with their message; mostly delivery and volume and attempts at humor. Its certainly a pleasure to have them pass the word to whomever might be listening in. Every vote counts and liberal radio might get us enough votes to tip the balance when the time comes.

Interestingly, I hear alot of conservative blather about how Air America will soon go out of business. I listen on 1350 AM out of New Orleans and that station is chock full of commercials. Would that be more lies from good "christians?"

4. If you hear a lot of repugs
talking about how bad AAR and progressive radio is doing it could only be for one reason, they're scared!

2. Yep. I'll defend Jerry Springer, even though
he's very go-along-to-get-alongish with a lot of his RW callers, we need him bring in listeners who otherwise have "liberal" views defined by the likes of Limbaugh and Hannity.

6. I think Randi Rhodes & Bernie Ward are the Best!!
Bar none.

Right up behind them would be Stephanie Miller, Mike Malloy & Guy James.

9. indeed
While the underlying motives of some of the talkers might not be as "pure" as we'd like, it is certainly important to have as many out there who are expressing progressive/liberal ideas to the listening public. We all have our favorites, but let's see what we can to do put aside some of our differences and form coalitions with the common good in mind.

Peace,
DT

10. We are SO lucky that we actually have choices now!
The disagreements are a reflection of the number of choices we have now!

How can that be a bad thing?

:D
