Plame Wasn't Covert? (How many times has Bush's story changed?)
Edited on Mon Apr-17-06 08:56 PM by ProSense
First, check to see if this sequence is accurate:

CIA agent's name leaked.
Bush says he'll find the person and fire him/her.
Past comments by Bush Sr. condemn leak as treasonous act.
Bush and his minions deny any role.
Libby is indicted.
Bush denies any role.
Libby squeals.
Bush denies any role.
Cheney says he has the power to declassify any information.
Bush denies any role.
Libby squeals some more.
Bush denies any role.
Report says Bush is leaker.
Kerry says Bush has been looking for himself.
Bush says he declassified the information.
Debate begins on whether the information was declassified or leaked.
Bush's argument appears weak.
Bush says he's an all powerful war president, which allows him to declassify any information.
Bush's argument gets dump on upon review of the pertinent executive orders.
Bush says agent wasn't covert?

Plame Wasn't Covert? NY Sun Gives It One Last Try

Snip...

The logic doesn't make sense on its face. The memo's author classified the information as secret, but thought the information wasn't secret?

1. That seems to be BushCo's strategy with everything...
If you change it often enough, maybe they'll forget what you said originally.

2. The CIA says oh yes she was covert. And as they're the ones who make
someone covert or not, guess they should know.

Oh wait...bush knows everything coz god talks to him.

3. Bush is the President and he had the power to make her
non-covert by outing her. He declassified her. It was strateegery.

9. Would've been nice to tell her & her people that.
Her many people's lives did Bush forfeit just to prove to the world that his penis is bigger than Saddam's?

10. Then Libby sure was stupid.

Not to mention Judith Miller. Why was everyone so worried that they lied and went to jail? You would think one of the million dollar lawyers Libby, Miller, Rove, Bush, Cheney and others hired would have just broken the good news to their clients. "Hey, Valerie Plame wasn't covert! Just admit you gave out her name! No problem!" The whole thing would be over if those stupid, stupid lawyers had just known the one thing that every freeper retard seems to know. Plame was not covert.
