Rednecks will never learn: CASTING PEARLS BEFORE SWINE IN AL! A RANT! |
|
I just heard an idiot without health insurance, working in a convenience store say, "JOHN KERRY WAS A JOURNALIST IN 'NAM."
Imagine yourself commanding a river-boat on a waterway running through a jungle full of well-armed dedicated Viet Cong. You rarely even see where the fire comes from as it nails your buddies. It's like running in the dark with an illuminated target pinned to your back.
Then, one day you get orders to take charge of three boats that will carry a bunch of South Vietnam soldiers and CIA spooks up a river. While carrying out the mission your guys come under fire from Charlie. It's touch and go after one of your main guns jam and the other big gun on your boat has no shot. Suddenly you see an enemy soldier ready to launch a grenade right into your crew. What do you do?
What John Kerry did was jump off that small gun boat onto the bank and blast that enemy straight to his big reward.
All, I said as I left is, "some people support our combat troops and others don't."
end of rant: thanks for listening.

1. The journalist was Gore |
|
And he was in a war zone. Journalists get killed in the battlefield and you see that now in Iraq. What an idiot...

18. A woman friend of mine was in-country as a civilian journalist in Nam |
|
She's got PTSD from being in the combat zone. She could've died, as many journalists are doing in Iraq.
Al Gore joined the service during the Vietnam War, and rather than taking the "fortunate son" route of being in his state's National Guard the way * did, he asked to be sent to Vietnam. He was indeed a journalist for the US military -- and he could have been injured or killed in the line of duty.

4. Amazing how they screw up the facts... |

I had a woman tell me today about how that "left-wing minister from Kansas" is protesting the war at soldiers' funerals with signs like "God Hates the Military."
Fred Phelps from the Westboro Baptist Church is who she was talking about... Left-wing, my ass...

just like BIG JOHN KERRY, I make my shots count!
Every mornin' in the SENATE you could see him arrive He stood six foot six and weighed two-fourty-five Kinda broad at the shoulder and narrow at the hip And everybody knew you didn't give no lip to Big John (Big John Big John) Big Bad John (Big John) Nobody seemed to know where John would stand But you better believe he'd stand up for our land When it came to America he sure wasn't shy And if crooks spoke at all they'd just said hi to Big John Somebody said he served in Vietnam Where he got in a fire-fight with the Vietcong And a crashin' blow from a huge right hand Sent a commie fellow to the Promised Land Big John (Big John Big John) Big Bad John (Big John) Then came the day at the bottom of the mine When a timber cracked and men started cryin' Miners were prayin' and hearts beat fast And everybody thought that they'd breath their last cept John Through the dust and the smoke of this man made hell Walked a giant of a man that the miners knew well Grabbed a saggin' timber and gave out with a groan And like a giant oak tree he just stood there alone Big John (Big John Big John) Big Bad John (Big John) And with all of his strenght he have a mighty shove Then a miner yelled out there's a light up above And twenty men Scrambled from a would be grave Now there's only one left down there to save Big John With jacks and timbers they started back down Then came that rumble way down in the ground And the smoke and gas belched out of the mine Everybody knew it way the end of the line for Big John (Big John Big John) Big Bad John (Big John) Now they never reopened that worthless pit They just placed a marbled stand in front of it These few words're written on that stand At the bottom of this mine lies a big big man Big John (Big John Big John) Big Bad John (Big John Big John) Big Bad John

11. Recent story that goes well with this |
|
Edited on Thu Apr-20-06 09:39 PM by nadinbrzezinski
and pretty bona fide by the way.
I went to star-bucks to get coffee and get some work done before getting dinner...
So this well groomed yuppie looking young man starts harassing this guy who is a tad gruff, wearing desert cammies... the typical shit, get a job, take a bad, usual junk
Guy starts babbling something about damn civies... and hands tense. Well I have seen that before... I tell the good ol' yuppie to take his damn latte and leave this man alone...
Well what has he done, smarty pants?
He's gone where you are too afraid to go... now get the (insert nice language, NOT here... I made a sailor proud)...
This guy, thousand mile stare looks at this guy and says two words, sand box... those of us who have sent relatives know exactly what that is... but our yuppie did not.
So? You still play with sand? Cop shows up, and yuppie starts complaining... cop takes a good look and meets his eyes... "son get out of here and stop harassing vets."
"He is no vet."
Yes he is, and if you don't get out of here, he'll teach you a think or two... I said... cop smiles
Damn you take their side? Yuppie said.
My nephew is over there, maybe you should go enlist, now STOP harassing vets and get out of here!
Then we spent a good half an hour trying to get this vet the social services HE NEEDS... and I did listen to some of the demons... and folks I am sure that story has been turned into how the damn troop hating lib'ruls spit on troops.
