the count is certainly higher but I don't have the current total.... My total is like yours and reflects last month only. More American soldiers died in the first two weeks of April than all of last month... Last month was one of the worst tallys on record since the invasion of Iraq.

When I sent my big e-mail out to everyone, I sent to people I haven't talked to in over a year. They were all so grateful to get my e-mail and to sign the petition. People feel powerless to stop this war, and when a U.S. Senator is willing to fight for that goal, it really brings hope to people.

I really hope we can get at least 1 million signers. But I do know some people who have gotten rid of their e-mail because it was too much trouble, so this is a problem for people offline.
