Jason Leopold on Ed Schultz Gives Prediction on Rove
i heard a piece of this show--jason was talking about his piece in truthout
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/042006Z.shtml

and the last thing schultz asked was what kind of chance does rove have of being indicted and jason said 95%

"The grand jury session in federal court in Washington, DC, sources close to the case said, was the first time this year that Fitzgerald told the jurors that he would soon present them with a list of criminal charges he intends to file against Rove in hopes of having the grand jury return a multi-count indictment against Rove."

schultz asked why this isn't being written about in msm and jason said he has been told journalists don't want to be hit with a subpoena

1. Ahhhhhh...sweet dreams for me tonight.
Springtime, a refreshing rain, and the end of Karl Rove's career.

Nighty-night!

6. Anyone here think Rove will go down without a fight?
A cornered animal is the most dangerous. If criminal indictments are imminent, watch out for a shitsack of dirty tricks, diversions, the firing or swiftboating of Fitzgerald or something really big (nuke Iran, another domestic terror attack, etc).

8. timing... and questions
Rove's 'demotion' back to handling the political issues for 2006 campaigns may be related...

This is Rove's specialty - and GOPers know they need him to swift-boat their opponents.

It's been hinted before - the Plame investigation has had Rove's attention somewhat distracted.

if the indictment comes down before nov. 2006 - how much will it compromise Rove's ability to swift-boat?

will he resign? will bush* ask for his resignation? If so - will Rove get a cushy job with some GOPer-related group to continue swift-boating?

9. Only ONE thing could possibly stop Fitzgerald
Buckle up -- with the recent conviction of George Ryan (former Republican governor) here in Illinois, Patrick Fitzgerald is now "free" to focus on his "other" high-profile political case -- the ONLY thing that could possibly stop Fitzgerald at this point is if he would be "removed/fired" as USA here -- and that would have such serious, far-reaching political fall-out that I'm not sure even this administration would attempt it -- Fitzgerald is a bull-dog -- and he is patient -- took something like 9 years to get Ryan -- he will not bring charges that will not result in an indictment -- I also firmly believe that Rove's "demotion" (while probably his own idea) is an attempt to put some distance between himself and gwb/cheney because of what could be exposed -- I would've loved to be a fly on the wall in WDC when the Ryan decision came down last Monday -- chgosooz

11. Was George Ryan connected to Conrad Black? I haven't
heard anything for a long time about Black.

12. If the WH really
thought Rove was going to be indicted (and they MUST know one way or the other), then surely they would have moved him out totally?

Simply tweaking his job spec still leaves him very clearly Bush's main political advisor.
