Chris Matthews last night
He asked a young college student, ok you are the president, what would you do? The young man thought for awhile and said, prepare my own impeachment papers.

4. did you notice how the news portion of the show
all pointed to the end of the misadministration and then they had Buchanan and some right wing woman (her name escapes me in the moment) all deny the entire affair? I thought that was very interesting. I guess that is what makes news fair and balanced these days. Tell the truth and then bring in the spinmeisters. All in the same show, with just a commercial in between.

6. Isn't TRUTH simply truth?
What is with all of this "fair and balanced" bs? It is either the truth or it's not, right? LOL!!!!!!

9. yes
this artificial faux-created idea of "balance" has no place in news. I'm not kidding. Does a blue dress equal a lie-filled State of the Union speech? No. They don't BALANCE. The meek press has taken this artifice to the point where if they mention Republicans taking money from Abramoff, they feel they have to say something negative about Democrats, even though no Democrat took wrongful money. It's an illusion, and a cop-out, this idea of "balance."

(getting off soapbox now)

10. You are SO right
People are entitled to their own OPINIONS but not their own FACTS! There is an absolute TRUTH, whether people want to face it or not.

5. Earth to tweety: Most people do not like this creep
He sits there praising the wisdom of red state Amurkins but never sets foot in a red state or anywhere outside the beltway. Consequently he doesn't realize that, even in Jesusland, there are a lot of us that think his boy is an asshole. We don't give a rats ass, Tweety, how many socks he stuffs into his skivies, he's still a sad, deluded, naive child.

13. A month or two back
there was a poll that came out and part of it asked people to describe Bush in one word. There was a huge percentage that used words like: "incompetent" "stupid" "liar" and the like. Tweety was sputtering -- SPUTTERING -- with indignation. He just doesn't seem to get it into his fat meathead that most 'Murkins DON'T like Bush. That goes directly againt his constant refrain about how "Everybody basically likes Bush on some level even if they don't agree with him blah blah blah."

7. Tweety was really snarky to that guy.
The only word he said in response was to holler "NEXT!!"

And then in a later segment, he sneered at the guy and said he "brought them all down" and implied that the guy was way out of line for being negative toward Bush.

It was very telling. Better not be to hard on Bush on Hardball, citizens.

8. here's the transcript
MATTHEWS: Yes, sir, what do you think about this country‘s leadership?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think it‘s heading in the wrong direction. I think given the way how, like, the Congress...

MATTHEWS: OK, I want to put you down in the Oval Office right now, in your mind, in a virtual reality. Transmit yourself down to the Oval Office, sit behind the president‘s desk. You have got a phone, you‘ve got staff people. What are you going to tell them to do?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I‘d tell them to just...

MATTHEWS: No, give orders. I want you to give orders right now.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Give orders right now?

MATTHEWS: You‘re commander in chief?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Start giving myself the impeachment papers.

MATTHEWS: Next.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Come on now.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think the leadership of this country is divided right now, because we have got President Bush sticking to his guns and staying the course, and we‘ve got Congress just up the street trying to get reelected. So right now it‘s a—you know, leadership is divided against itself.

MATTHEWS: Do you think people in politics care about issues enough to lose an election, or it‘s all about just getting elected?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It‘s definitely both. I mean, the issues are part of it. If you don‘t have—if the policymakers don‘t create good issues, then you don‘t have anything to campaign on.

MATTHEWS: OK. I‘m going to ask everybody here to get positive. After you have brought us all down. You have made us feel very bad that you want the man to impeach himself, which sounds perverted to me. Let me ask everybody here, I want you to name a hero in American politics. I don‘t care if the person is alive now or has been dead for 100 years. I want you to start here. Name a hero.

17. After his Delay interview, I don't know why anyone bothers anymore
Really. Good for the kid. Tweety shouldn't even have a show - his bias has been exposed on tape and anyone who takes him seriously needs to take a pill.
