1. You have a song called "Let's Impeach the President." What is it about?
Is that the STUPIDEST interviewer on the planet, or what?

but what about that other bitch, I forgot her name who interviewed Feingold on CNN? Brown hair, it was about the censure. Jon Stewart did a whole thing. They're all so dumb it's hard to pick just one. Poll anybody????

8. Actually, most of them are alive and well...
However, they never really disliked Neil Young. That whole part of the song was kind of a joke.

Incidentally, haven't talked to you in a while; how are you? :-)

PS I PROMISE the next time I reply, I won't be contradicting you. It's gotta happen! :-P

11. Yes, but that abomination now calling itself "Lynyrd Skynyrd"...
contains only one original member.
The original band was great, and "Sweet Home Alabama" was a very sly and witty song, NOT a defense of southern racism and ignorance.

16. Hmmm...down to just one or two?
They didn't ALL die. I wonder what happened.

I know what you mean though. They probably couldn't even summon enought talent and gumption to write a song about Bo Bice let alone Ol' Neil...

19. Here's what happened:
The ORIGINAL Skynyrd was Ronnie Van Zandt (vocals), Allen Collins (guitars), Gary Rossington (guitars), Larry Junstrom (bass), Bob Burns (drums). Keyboardist Billy Powell was added to the THIRD line-up, bassist Leon Wilkeson and guitarist Ed King to the FOURTH, and Artimus Pyle to the FIFTH.

So there really IS one "original" member in the current band.

Ronnie Van Zandt, lead singer, died in the crash.
Steve Gaines (not an original member, a replacement for original guitarist Ed King), died in the crash.
Ed King, original guitarist, left the band before the crash. Returned AFTER the crash and left again after a couple of albums. Alive, played at the recent R&R Hall Of Fame induction for Skynyrd.
Artimus Pyle, not the "original" drummer, was on the plane and survived. Fired from the band, he's still alive, and played with them at R&R Hall Of Fame.
Allen Collins, original guitarist, survived the crash but later died.
Billy Powell, keyboardist, still in the band.
Gary Rossington, original guitarist, still in the band.
Leon Wilkeson, original bassist, survived the crash but later died.

22. That's a shame, but I do find it a little funny that...
there are more original members of ("devil worshipping", "drug addicts") Black Sabbath going to the RRHOF ceremony than ("Good Ol' Boys") Lynyrd Skynrd... :-D

Who'd a thunk it?

23. Sabbath Guitarist Toni Iommi addressed that...
..."Tony recalls numerous instances when the band returned to the hotel after shows only to find the places 'invaded by all these Satanists and witches, all dressed in long black robes, holding black candles, sitting outside our rooms chanting! We just used to laugh at them!'"

25. They came through here last 4th of July
and they pretty much sucked. Yes, most of them didn't die in that crash but the band was gone. They haven't had a hit record since, have they?

I am doing great. Just got back from Easter with Cindy Sheehan in Texas. It was AWESOME!!

You can contradict me all you want. I am wrong - once in a great while. LOL

20. THAT was the CAPPER...saying it was ridiculous to accuse Young...
...of seeking "publicity."

One of the strongest, most sustained music careers on RECORD.

If the band Ah-Ha reunited and did an anti-war record, I MIGHT say they were publicity hounds.

Neil Young?

24. He was, for a few reasons...
First, one of the FAVORITE comebacks from the right, whenever Bush is criticized on any level, is to label a person part of the "Hate Bush" crowd. O'Reilly pulls that one often.

But Young's remarks about the post-9/11 world not "belonging" to Bush showed that he gets it on a much deeper level. If Bush's "I am the decider" comment showed us anything, it's that we have an unstable megalomaniac "leading" our country.

Second, Neil kept his cool and DID NOT BLINK.

Third, his "I've been working and paying TAXES here for 40 years" comments, and the references to his AMERICAN kids, his AMERICAN wife...these all shut down the "As a Canadian, do you have the RIGHT to say these things" crap.

Anyone reading this thread who has not watched the clip needs to GO WATCH THE CLIP. If our Democratic leaders could grow a set half as large as the one on Neil Young, we'd take back the White House without breaking a SWEAT.

I see Neil Young as John Conyers with a black Les Paul Custom guitar. Two straight shooters, two men of courage and conviction.

Watch the pretty interviewer ask shallow, stupid questions:

"Are you concerned people will think you're unpatriotic?"

"Is this a way to sell more records?"

"But you're a Canadian..."

"Are you concerned there will be a backlash?"

Give me a flippin break! Ship her and the twin twits off to Iraq! They'll do less damage there.

just very inexperienced and relying on the most obvious "deep" questions someone with no insight of her own would ask.

Niel handled it well - and I am truly surprised at the anchor's complete and total defense of what Niel is doing! Could he get punished for that??????

American Justice? Sure, so why is an attorney getting away with tampering with court documents even though he “inadvertently” filed three pages of emails detailing what was done with the court.

See for yourself: http://www.maximumadvocacy.com/Court_records.html , look on pages 25-27 of document 64.

Unbelievable. Priceless. Hilarious, if it wasn’t so sad but true.

How’s your faith in the justice system?
