Harris (Kathy)Takes Responsibility For Not Paying For Pricey Dinner
She's just a thrill a minute, ain't she?

ORLANDO, Fla. -- U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris took responsibility Friday for her campaign not reimbursing her share of a meal with a disgraced defense contractor at an exclusive Washington restaurant that reportedly cost $2,800.

The report was the latest trouble in the Republican's campaign to unseat Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson. The woman best known for her role in the 2000 presidential recount is trailing far behind Nelson in polls.

In a statement, Harris said that she gave a charity $100, "which will more than adequately compensate for the cost of my beverage and appetizers" from the meal with Mitchell Wade. He has pleaded guilty to bribing former U.S. Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham, R-Calif., who was sent to prison earlier this month for bribery.

Ed Rollins, Harris' former chief political strategist in her Senate campaign, told the Orlando Sentinel that he found out that the meal cost $2,800, although he said he didn't see a bill and wasn't at the restaurant, Citronelle. He confirmed that account to The Associated Press on Friday.

4. Actually, there are many restaurants where dinner and drinks for 2
will run that high (and higher).

2. So she's giving $100.00 to a charity
and that is supposed to cover her share of a $2800.00 dinner? Hmmm... my math must not be too good in my older years. How many people were at that dinner anyway? If it was just her and Wade, that guy must be a prodigious eater and/or drinker. And the donation to the charity still didn't pay the restaurant bill. She's a fuckin' thief, as well as a pscycho.

7. Arnold Palmer once took Tiger Woods out to dinner
A very nice gesture--too bad Jackie Robinson's teammates didn't think of it. But since Tiger was still a student at Stamford U. at the time, the NCAA rasied a stink about it, and he ended up having to reimburse Arnie for half the cost. Now, if a student athlete couldn't get away with it...!

11. It would have been a nice gesture for Jackie Robinson's teammates.
However, segregation was running strong in 1947. There would not have been many restaurants where the white teammates of Jackie Robinson would have been able to take him out to dinner.

8. Let me get this straight...
...we are the "liberal elites."

They are spending $2,800 on dinner.

Explain that to me again "values voters?"

10. There you go again, resorting to reality.
Reality is not for the Overlord Class! They make their own reality! A reality where $2800 is perfectly reasonable, and also where 2800/2 = 100.

Math. Bah!

12. 2800/2=100...
...That must be that "new math" thing I've heard so much about...
