Diplomacy "to the Max?" Where are the Dems?
Shouldn't the Dems be clobbering Bush right now? He's sitting right on the trap door over the alligators. Anyone going to pull the lever?

Fer cryin' out loud, we just had a "60 Minutes" confirm the DSMs. Bush was going to war regardless of the intel, but he was using diplomacy "to the max?" Shouldn't there be a memos and notes where Bush issued orders to diplomats, talked to heads of state, etc., trying to avoid war using diplomacy? There are memos and books showing the opposite. Where is Bush's back-up for his "to the max?" Or was he just lying a big lie right in our faces?

Are the Dems going to let him get away with this?

Sorry for the rant, but Jeez!

1. Well, let me see
Sen. Feingold wants to censure the Idiot and got a committee hearing on it.
Sen. Schumer clocked him good over the ports issue and really raised a fuss that was heard across the land
Sen. Kerry called him a liar last Sat and wants out of a failed war in Iraq
Sen. Boxer has been calling the whole damn cabal of losers out on their sins whenever she can
Cong. Murtha said that Rumsfeld and Bush are endangering American security with their war

Democrats have been calling the Rethugs and this Prez out. Consistently.

2. This is one where he directly lied in a very memorable way.
All I see is "to the max" being covered as if it is just another funny Bushism. In fact, it's a big, direct, provable lie that goes to the heart of what we know is true about the war. Bush pushed us into a war on false pretenses because he wanted to do it. And he totally reamed the Dems in doing so, making it an election year issue. Now he is saying he did everything he could to avoid war. And he said it in the kind of "depends on what is is" memorable way that can turn into a killer meme.

The Dems have been doing fine recently. No need to defend them from me.
