Need help picking a dem to vote for in Boxers PAC $email: One choice
Rep. John Salazar (CO-3)
Rep. Jim Marshall (GA-8)
Rep. John Barrow (GA-12)
Rep. Leonard Boswell (IA-3)
Rep. Melissa Bean (IL-8)
Rep. Charlie Melancon (LA-3)
Rep. John Spratt (SC-5)
Rep. Stephanie Herseth (SD-AL)
Rep. Chet Edwards (TX-17)
Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-2)

There are two groups one, incumbents and the other new candidates. I picked Francine Busby for the new group, but I am not familiar with any of these incumbents. Who would you choose?

1. I chose Stephanie Herseth
only because it's South Dakota and that state could really use some progressive help.

4. I immediately distrust anyone named "Chet" for no particular reason
Same goes for Salazar... but only because that was the name of the bad guy from the last season of 24.

6. Why not email Senator Boxer's office and ask for some input.
Ask which of the candidates is dramatically under-funded and could use a boost.

If they are Democrats, I hope they are all together in the next Congress. You're in a win-win situation, really.

And you're doing a real good thing.

8. Steer clear of Salazar and Bean.
They are about as far from progressive as it gets.

9. Except Bean is in a very tough
race to keep her seat. She needs our support if she is going to win.

10. It's a dilemma, to be sure.
We've had knockdown dragouts in Illinois over this. Yes, we need her vote to make Pelosi (or whoever) Speaker. Yes, she's also a DINO. Yes, she needs help in order to stay. Yes, the reason she needs so much help is because she pissed all over the people who put her there in the first place, i.e. labor. Yes, it's probably true that only a moderate or conservative Dem could ever win that district. No, she didn't need to be a total conservative.

Yes, I have plenty of candidates to choose from when making donations. No, she'll never get a dime (or a vote in a poll) from me.
