Tony Snow on Bush = Wimp, impotent, frat boy, cluelessness...etc...
Edited on Tue Apr-25-06 07:55 PM by file83
Should George really be asking Tony Snow to be his Press Secretary?

:shrug:

Tony Snow on Bush:

Begin with the wimp factor. No president has looked this impotent this long when it comes to defending presidential powers and prerogatives.

<snip>

The budget has grown nearly 50 percent on his watch, and he is vying to become the most free-spending president ever.

<snip>

This kind of behavior has given the impression that George W. Bush is more eager to please than lead...

source

He (Bush) behaves as if he were in an amusement park, pursuing a hobby rather than a calling.

<snip>

The key indicator is The Smirk. It pops out indiscriminately -- in times of peril as well as moments of mirth. It gives bystanders the sense they’re dealing not with a political heir to Lincoln, Reagan or George Bush, but with an exhibitionistic frat boy who has poked a hole in the bottom of a beer can and wants an audience to watch him pop the top.

<snip>

He (Bush) inhabits a political Oz, where the colors are happy and the tough decisions can wait until the oracle speaks. When he stumbles over abstruse matters of foreign policy, for instance, he actually jokes about his cluelessness.

<snip>

This is how frat boys behave when they know the class nerd is going to take their exams for them.

source

George W. Bush and his colleagues have become not merely the custodians of the largest government in the history of humankind, but also exponents of its vigorous expansion.

source

Damn Tony, I couldn't have said it better myself! :rofl:

(on edit: formating & "press secretary")

should open with a question about these comments and asking him why he's taken this position considering what he's said in the past. I'd pay GOOD MONEY to watch that.

Why did they push ole' Scotty out without having someone in the wings, ready and waiting, to catapult the propaganda.

It's now settled: The Fox Cable News Network is the official mouthpiece for The Executive Branch of the United States. :puke:

31. Scotty embroiled himself in the Plame case.
When he started, Scotty said he spoke with Bush, Cheney, et. al. about the Plame leak, and that said they said they had done nothing.

Lately, Bush and Cheney come out as the leakers with the caveat that it was legal because they can de-classify, showing Scotty passed false information to the press. Either Scotty lied, the admin lied to Scotty, or Scotty is incompetent.

Scotty had to go. (before the lazy press, armed with these releases, were able to ask Scotty embarrassing questions.)

Besides, he might be, will be, or has been testifying in front of Fitzgerald.

That's my guess.

This was reported on FOX. Snicker.

ABC called this a SNOW JOB, then proceeded to give a list of the derogatory statements Snow has made about the Emperor. Snicker.

28. Tony Snow - Cover-ups for Press Secretary Begin Before he Officially Start

Scott hasn't even left yet, and his replacement is having his former comments erased? That's okay, there are bound to be saved copies...somewhere. LOL!

Tony Snow - Cover-ups for Press Secretary Begin Before he Officially Starts

Most Popular Conservative Website Where Snow Wrote Has Deleted His Comments

by Steven Leser
When the White House press corps first starts asking questions of new White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, the first question should be, "Sir, exactly what are you trying to hide?".

There are a plethora of glib answers one could give to such a question, but the fact remains, Mr. Snow was a regular poster over at Free Republic ( http://www.freerepublic.com ), and as one can see from the link and quote below, overnight when it was announced he would be the new press secretary, """the mountain of information Mr. Snow had submitted and had posted on the site disappeared."""

What is he hiding? What sorts of comments is he afraid might see the light of day?

snip

A Press Secretary isn't a creator or developer of policies, he simply is someone who tries to put the best face on the President's policies.

The public is unhappy with the President and what he has done, so what steps does the President take? He hires someone, for whom cover-ups are the order of the day, to try and convince us that we in fact like the President's policies. What a complete insult to the people's intelligence.

Tony Snow should be withdrawn from consideration and someone the people can trust should be put in his place.

30. What can you say about a Bush critic?
Who says "No president has looked this impotent this long when it comes to defending presidential powers and prerogatives."

Snow-job's criticism of Bush amounts to: "Bush is not being Fascist enough".
