My take on Bush's Poll numbers
Many have posted that they can't understand how Bush can even muster 33% approval. It is simple, when you look at the breakdown. About 70% of Republicans still "say" they approve of Bush's performance. They are really just trying to save face by artificially pushing his numbers up. If there were consequences for lying on a survey like monetary penalties,(hit Republicans where they hurt)the results would be much different. About half of those 70% are just plain stupid as many conservatives are and you will never get them to change their mind no matter what Bush does. Therefore I would say Bush is really around 30-40% among Republicans.

As far as the 8-10% or so of Dems that say they approve of Bush, I would have to say you have lying about political affiliation, confusion, or just plain ignorance.

All things considered, Bush is definitely in the teens to low twenties if you get an honest sample.

And as someone in Alabama, I have to say that I don't run into anyone that likes the guy (Bush) anymore. Maybe I should widen my circle, but I'm talking about people I run into at the grocery store and things like that. I'm sure he still has some supporters, but they're not very vocal, that's for sure.

7. well my state isn't becoming a liberal bastion or anything :)
But I think people are finally realizing what an incompetent criminal that GWB is. I certainly hope the trend continues.

Mind saying what state you're in? Not that it really matters, but Alabama has been really pro-Bush until very recently.

5. It Gets Better
The Hartford Courant/Connecticuit ran a poll and his approval rating is 24% amongst CT residents. Is this a sign to come?

from talk radio and and are drunk by the time the real news come on (5:30 p.m.)
