"Spirited" Debate in the House |
|
Edited on Wed Apr-26-06 12:59 PM by Sugarcoated
Harmon, Kucinich, Franks, etc specking truth about warrantless wiretapping and 'thugs trying to shut down debate. Franks: "You do not have the right to stop me from standing up for the Constitution". Rep. Putnam is a lying POS and his smug days are numbered.
Edited to correct: Changed Rep. Holt to Rep. Putnam. My bad!

4. Are you referring to Rush Holt? |
|
He is my congressman.
I disagree with him on some things, but he is one of the finest members of the House, and his days, according to his constituents are hardly numbered.
His precedessor sang "Twinkle, Twinkle, little star..." on the floor of the House of Representatives in praise of Kenneth Starr.
But the great thing about Rush Holt is not that he managed to not be so atrocious, but that he has the intellect, soul, and patriotism that we ordinarily should associate with our Representative body.
Most of us here wish Rush were in the Senate and were disappointed with the choice Corzine made in nominating someone to succeed himself.

I did a Google image on the name and that was the Rep. who spoke before the 'thug - red hair? His name isn't coming up on the screen. He's chairing for the 'thugs.

6. Rick Renzi from Arizona must think everyone there is deaf because |
|
he is raising holy Hell and yelling. Shouldn't the speaker tell him to lower his voice? I'm enjoying Jim McGovern repeating each and every time that he announces a new Democratic representative that stands to speak that they were locked out of the debate "last night." What does he mean "Locked out?"
Are the Republicans still having their little nighttime parties and no Democrats are included, even if they show up it sounds like the door was locked and they are told they cannot come in? Are they still doing these stupid tricks?

11. Kucinich was shaking his finger and yelling at the top of his lungs. |

Edited on Wed Apr-26-06 12:59 PM by frankly_fedup2
He sounded frustrated and very angry regarding the debate.
The little pixie redhead from Florida just implied that the Democratic party did not support the troops.
I'm so sick of this BS. Oh well, looks like they're going to count the votes.

13. Can Dems Overcome Gerrymandering??? |
|
Most Districts are heavily slanted... Dems are going to have to really put some BIG stuff out there to get the Repukes to "turn!" I know many moderate Repukes MIGHT do it... but still???
Most are actually saying it's going to be pretty difficult for Dems to take over... I certainly hope the general consensus is wrong. Dems need to keep speaking up and not cower in the corner like they have been in the past. The MESSAGE is the MOST IMPORTANT thing, but if it's not heard, they're still SUNK!!
