F**K Neil Cavuto
I just loved when Dick Durbin DESTROYED that ass clown Neil Cavuto on FAUX today regarding gas prices.

Neil brought out every single BULL SHIT reason that gas prices are so high, each one placing the cause of gas prices square at the feet of the democratic party.

The argument - I mean, they are just SO hollow. Neil even invoked Jimmy Carter as the reason for the current pain at the pump.

I don't know why I sat there and watched the exchange; It's like watching a car accident.

But Dick Durbin kicked his ass. He called him out 3 times with what I think is a fine civilized smack down:

" I beg your pardon sir - that's just wrong and you're wrong."

F F F F**k these people.

We need Company Man Cavuto to continue spouting his CRAP for a victory in November! What a tool he is.

3. Jimmy Carter?
Boy now thats desperation. Jimmy Carter. Let me see, he has nothing to do with any lawmaking and/or defense decisions since 1981. Yep, it's all his fault. Good lord, Cavuto, etc. are grasping at straws now. I think it may be Gerald Ford's fault. After all, he pardoned Nixon. Yeah, it was Ford's fault.

the Republicans blaming Carter for this, and he thought that was hilarious.

7. It was Nixon's fault
for letting the EPA develop into an agency that later enforced environmental controls when the Alaska pipe-line was built which slowed down the oil flow from coming online. So if girly-Cavuto wants to point he finger..

5. This is what happens when you grow up as an elitist pansy-ass Repuke
Edited on Wed Apr-26-06 03:25 PM by Mr_Spock
You grew up blaming everything on Democrats, then after you take over the government for 5 years in a row what do you do when things go wrong??

Blame Democrats.

Pansy-ass narrow minded non-leaders. This is why Republicans are, by definition, the minority party.

They are incapable of leading.

The Republicans controlled all three branches of government AND every major "mainstream" news outlet in the country.

By definition- they must be doing something right.... could be the Dems might want to have a look into their playbook and see what that might be.

12. Seems like the Repukes are whining an awful lot for "leaders"
I have a feeling their "leadership" might me short-lived.

What do you think of that pansy Cavuto blaming Dems for gas prices?

Bottom line though is that the far right does what it takes to win elections- and they very rarely cross party lines to vote with the opposition.

They don't go out of their way to alienate their base- they don't worry about "who they might offend" and they've been rewarded with 6 straight Congressional election victories. If the Dems don't learn to play the game like they do- then maybe come November- the far right will win a 7th.

17. Dems need to unite, but there are limits to lack of integrity
Edited on Wed Apr-26-06 04:02 PM by Mr_Spock
I mean, a coup is also a way to get and stay in power, but that's not a recommended path.

How does my criticism of how poorly the Repukes lead turn into an opportunity to attack Dems in you mind??

Very disturbing the mood you are in today.

18. Just stating the obvious
Somebody must think that the Republicans are doing something right (or the Dems are doing something wrong)- or else we wouldn't be in this sorry situation.

It never ceases to amaze me what the Republicans get away with... and still they win elections- over and over. There's a lesson in there (though I'm afraid our side hasn't learned it).

20. If you consider lying, smearing, and stealing elections to be "right"
Yes, election theft and character assassination are definitely two methods the Democrats need to pick up on! Who cares about morals and integrity? We need to play by their playbook and sell our souls too!

Oh, I'm sorry, you just wanted to bitch about Democrats for the 1,000,000th time. :eyes:

Edited on Wed Apr-26-06 08:00 PM by depakid
and if you don't want to do what it takes to win- then you shouldn't run.

Too bad Kerry didn't listen to that advice- instead of breaking his promise not to run a Dukakis style campaign.

And yeah- I'm going to bitch about it- beacause I'm damn well sick of losing- and sick and tired of watching guys like Durbin (who I respect) apologize for telling it how it is.

24. Amazing, how if Kerry ran a Dukakis like campaign...
That he didn't lose by a Dukakis like margin. Bush Jr. was also a wartime incumbent and a much stronger opponent than Bush Sr. in 1988 - in 1988, the media did not function as an advertising firm for the Republican party. Kerry's road in 2004 was much, much rougher than Dukakis' in 1988, and Kerry did much better.

So it's kind of hard to support your claim.

If you have ideas that you think the Democrats should adopt, then state them minus all the bitterness and snark. Nobody wants to listen to a whiner. If you have constructive ideas, then state them - but amazingly, when you spend most of your post "bitching," all people see is the bitching, and any ideas you have get lost in the midst of the antagonism.

16. I live in L.A. and would LOVE to have the Red Car back
but there was a conscious decision made in the 40s-50s (after coercion by Goodyear, Goodrich, et al.) to build FREEWAYS instead. (See "Who Framed Roger Rabbitt"!) Makes me sick now that I'm paying $3.17 a gallon.

the Republican Spin Network? There isn't any interest in finding the truth, it's all about puffing up the Republicans and tagging all the problems on the Democrats.

19. It's the taxes, stupid!
Neil couldn't get him to bite on his strawman argument that 50 cents per gallon of gas in federal tax is the reason that prices are high, not the nine cents that the oil companies get.

First, since the numbers came out of his mouth, I don't believe them.

Second, if there were 3 cents per gallon for graft and bribes, would that be ok because taxes take a bigger bite? I mean, shit, Neil - let's permanently remove all taxes from gas and just drive on the grass, since you're against road maintenance.

You're breathing fumes, Neil - I just can't decide whether they're gas fumes or W's rectal air bursts.

I don't usually watch, but like your simile of a car accident, I couldn't help myself. Didn't see the whole thing because I can't eat and watch Cavuto at the same time.

Glad Durbin kicked his a**.

27. Cavuto makes me sick. I can't watch him.
He is such a tool, and it's so obvious. That Gibson idiot is even worse (is he still on?) and of course Hannity is beneath contempt.

There are only two times a week I watch Fox on purpose - I watch the Beltway Boys and Fox News Watch (6-7pm Saturday) and the rerun of Fox News Sunday (6-7pm Sunday). Otherwise, I just tune in from time to time to see what nonsense they are up to. Overall, MSNBC is my favorite news channel.
