Was Tony Snow lying before, or wil he lie now? Some of his quotes...
Comming from Faux News I think we know that he will toe the administration line, which will make him as much a hypocrite as the rest of them. Also will he be questioned about these remarks by the White House press corps? I believe he should be, so he can explain them and his sudden change in tune. If they don't press him on this they are simply not doing their jobs. I would like to know if this is his true feelings about * or what excuse he has for them. Because we know there will be no more comments comming out of his mouth like this from now on.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

– “George Bush has become something of an embarrassment.” <11/11/05>

– “No president has looked this impotent this long when it comes to defending presidential powers and prerogatives.” <9/30/05>

– “When it comes to federal spending, George W. Bush is the boy who can’t say no. In each of his three years at the helm, the president has warned Congress to restrain its spending appetites, but so far nobody has pushed away from the table mainly because the president doesn’t seem to mean what he says.”

– “George W. Bush, meanwhile, talks of a pillowy America, full of niceness and goodwill. Bush has inherited his mother’s attractive feistiness, but he also got his father’s syntax. At one point last week, he stunned a friendly audience by barking out absurd and inappropriate words, like a soul tortured with Tourette’s.” <8/25/00>

– “He recently tried to dazzle reporters by discussing the vagaries of Congressional Budget Office economic forecasts, but his recitation of numbers proved so bewildering that not even his aides could produce a comprehensible translation. The English Language has become a minefield for the man, whose malaprops make him the political heir not of Ronald Reagan, but Norm Crosby.” <8/25/00>

4. He was lying then. He is lying now.
He will lie in the future. In fact, Tony Snow is the perfect noun to use whenever you're conjugating the verb "to lie."

6. The idiot in the White House picked Snow precisely because of
these quotes so the moran-in-chief can argue, (in the embarrassingly flawed tawlk B*** only understands), "See, he's been critical of me...he'll be fair...he'll answer reporters' tough questions." :eyes:

Pah-leeze, we all know this is a huge smoke screen.

Snow will be "Monica'ing" B*** under the Oval Office desk in no time.

8. I think they will. White House reporters understand that there are a lot
of journalists who want their jobs, and if they don't ask tough questions, their news directors will replace them with a wide selection of others who are more than willing to ask tough questions, who are just as good, and who might even take the job for less pay to get their "foot in the door."

The problem is if Snow dances around tough questions as Scott McLiar did....then it doesn't matter who asks the questions.

That's why I think they hired Snow. He understands this.

I just can't wait for the first question from the FOX reporter. "Hi Tony, you sure look handsome today, and we at FOX are so proud of you. That's all I have to say." :eyes:

13. Yeah, but...
Snow made some strong anti-bush statements, he should not be allowed to dance around these questions, that is my point.

15. Of course he should not be allowed to dance around these questions,
but that's exactly what he's going to do because that's exactly what he's going to be expected to do.

In fact, I'm sure he's already formulating b.s. answers to counter anything the press corps throws at him.

Unless it comes out that he murdered someone when he was in college, they're going to keep him, and there's nothing the media, nor you or I can do about it to change the White House's mind.

Bush has already said he asked Snow about this and said Snow told him, "you should hear what I said about the other guy (Kerry)"

Bush is keeping him unless he really, really, effs up. That just my opinion.

11. 2 comments:
1. he said he wasn't there (as press secretary) to "DRINK the KOOL-AID... well a press secretary doesn't drink the kool-aid -- they serve it to others.
He has no control over creating policy - he just has to mix in enough kool-aid so it's drinkable for public consumption.

2. about his postings being pulled from freeperland: remember when you were a kid and were told "Don't eat yellow snow" ? Seems the Freep new rule is "Don't READ yellow SNOW"
