I feel like saying: "TAKE YOUR $100 GAS REFUND AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS"
To all lawmakers in Washington DC (seems like GOP senators proposed this).

They must think we are them, they also think they are dealing with Jack Abramoff - In psychology, it is called transferring, means we would love what they love, things like BRIBES!!!

The proposed $100.00 rebate for high gas prices is nothing but a BRIBE to voters - This is like the $300.00 tax rebate asshole sent us back in 2001. I say go to hell assholes.

I am telling you right now, whoever votes for the $100.00, will get a vote against their ass in November.

 :puke: :argh:

It use to be $20, now it's $35.

Not buying it one damn it at all!

ANd I haven't even factored in how much extra I'm paying for my electricity or how much extra people are paying for their heating costs

14. For once, we in the desert southwest can get a feel for what those
in the north and northeast go through every winter, if not to such extreme YET.

We're hovering just beneath 100 degree days just about the same time gas has reached record levels. That means we have to turn the AC on in our cars and workplaces (I'm doing my level best to avoid it at home, but must cave occasionally).

Fuck these bastards to HELL.

9. My solution is better. A temporary tax on owning & trading oil securities
Edited on Thu Apr-27-06 10:37 AM by IanDB1
Anyone who buys, sells, trades, options or otherwise engages in a stock or securities transaction should be taxed $0.10 per share for the next 60 days.

Anyone who currently owns oil company stocks, bonds, certificates or securities should be charged a one-time tax of $0.05 per share.

The revenue would be used to pay for solar panels on public housing.

12. LOL - listen to this -------
I walked out into the clinic a few minutes ago and said to all the nurses - "hey ladies, how would you feel if the government gave each of us 100 bucks to offset high gas prices?". One said "I'll take it, but if they think it'll make me feel better they're wrong". Another laughed and said "Do they think we're idiots?". We all then chuckled about how rediculous the whole idea is.

13. It's a token bribe. Nothing more.
Here, peasant, take this paltry check and go fill up once or twice with it. Forget that your government is raping you. Forget that it's lying to you. Forget that it's wasting more than this every single second.

The American people are such idiots. They just keep falling for this same shit over and over again. WAKE UP, AMERICA!

16. Lets see now..$100.00 = 2 or 3 tanks of gasoline...
Depends what you're driving, but a hundred bucks just isn't much anymore...
Guess it'll get you a few more trips to WalMart...

I want to see a drop in gasoline prices across the board...back to $1.60 a gallon..The entire Bush Administration is where they are because of the thievery it allows them.

I'm so sick of this.

22. I agree - they're protecting the oil companies and their tax breaks and
subsidies. That 100 bucks is NOTHING compared to the breaks the oil companies have gotten from BushInc.

Kerry's bill calls for oil companies to have their tax requirements REINSTATED NOW.

23. It's alot more than just a bribe
"However, the GOP energy package may face tough sledding because it also includes a controversial proposal to open part of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska to oil exploration, which most Democrats and some moderate Republicans oppose."

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/04/27/gas.rebate/index.html

I just cannot believe that we let our intelligence be insulted over and over again by these fuckwads!!! I know exactly where I'd like to put that "rebate". Oh! Maybe I wouldn't get one since I'm on social security and not a "tax payer" anymore.
