arlen spector is mad as hell and he's not gonna take it anymore
Pennsylvania's senior senator is just about had it up to here with the white house just running roughshod over congress and wants answers about the wiretapping and other intelligence information. And this time he's serious. He's put his foot down, by god. Heard a short clip on the senator's state of pissiness on the radio this pm. Gosh arlen, just how does it feel.

2. I was wondering how long it would take to really pi** off one of the
prominent Pubs? /sometimes I could kick Spector, but he IS one of the few Pubs who can occasionally be rational. He alweilds quite a bit of power in the Senate, so we'll see just how much he can do!

on Feingold's censure motion. I think his bout with cancer has caused an epiphany of sorts (not to mention when the Thugs tried to strip him of his committee chairmanship and threatened to run some theocon against him in the Thug primary). I respect him more than most of his side.

As soon as Bush and Frist tell him to shut up and toe the line I bet he does it.

8. He's probably posturing for the cameras.
I'm a Pennsylvanian, and I've gotten pretty damned tired of Arlen talking like he's going to do something, then backing off from action when the cameras turn away.

9. Again?
{Yawn}

Arlen's always real mad about something or other when someone's aiming a camera at him. But convene a hearing? Issue some subpoenas? Get some testimony under oath? Well, let's not go crazy, right Arlen?

He'll be back kissing Santorum's Santorum and handing another blank check to the White House tomorrow.

Just when you think he found himself some independence, he says, "Just kidding. Whatever you want, Shrubya."

15. Doesn't He "DO THIS" On A Regular Basis???
Seems I've heard how "moderate" he is, but when it comes down to the BRASS (uh tacks) he generally just sits on them!

It WOULD be nice to see him follow through once in a while!

21. Just Saw Him On C-Span 2 & He Didn't Seem All That Fired Up!
Said he wasn't going to call the Attorney General back to a hearing BECAUSE Alberto won't TELL them anything. So, it seems there won't be another hearing. Also said, MAYBE the public could get fired up about this like they did about Abu Garaib and they could do more.

Went on to say that the WH just won't answer them, but gave no specific statements as to any specific ACTION he was going to take!

So is could be more of Arlen spewing but not "dewing" anything!

Bush should have been impeached last year! What the hell is the House of Reps doing? Why won't they introduce articles of impeachment?

I hear all kinds of CRAP about how Specter, Chaffee, Snowe, are actual moderate statesmen. How much resistence have they given while fascism has been imposed on the country? None, that's how much.

29. Specter and McCain
talk the talk on rare occasions but never follow through.

He won't do anything except ruffle his feathers and puff out his chest a bit. Then he'll sort of go back to blending in with all the other Bush sycophants.

I'm not impressed.
