10. Upper 9th, photos 4/1/06 (beware, 5 photos)

UP, UPjr and friend spent a day working with Animal Relief New Orleans, driving around Upper 9th filling animal feed and water stations. There was one block with 3 FEMA trailers clustered together, about the only place for them to be en masse, and several others scattered around. Some blocks had 3 houses being gutted, some none. We found 2 feeding stations that had moldy food in them, leading us to wonder how many rats there are around since this food hadn't been eated in 2 weeks. Here's a couple pictures to share.

I think that most of us who aren't in the middle of it can't imagine how bad this was...and is.

No matter how many times Junior heads down there and throws his arm around someone or picks up a hammer, he'll never erase the cake-suckin', guitar-strummin' memories that we have of him when this thing hit.

I would've told him to get off me! He was leaning all over her like she was a prop-not even a human he was using for a photo op. It looked like he was going to squeeze her boob after awhile-he was all over her-for a good, long time to get as many pictures as possible. And he hammers like a little girl.
