RW antics in Dem Primaries - Election UPDATE
:grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke:

ELECTION DAY UPDATE

UPDATE: Exactly as we told he he would, Drudge is posting a link to a right-wing taken exit poll which tries to push Edwards and Kerry and bury Clark.
:grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke:
You see now, dear M/I reader, that this is all predictable at this point - it is what they do every single time - and that by calling it out ahead of time, candidates and parties can somewhat blunt the effect by informing people of the game.
:grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke:
Again, the idea - with most of the voting still to be done at this point - is to demoralize the supporters on the candidates they are against, making it not seem worth their time going to the polls, and to energize the supporters of the candidates they want to win. This will now spread from Drudge to the supposed "mainstream" media, in some places subtly, in some places directly, as well as all over talk radio, etc.
:grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke:
Here is the warning that we gave you this morning that they would run this game... "Standard operating procedure for the Republican Mean Machine on election day is to release demoralizing leaks midday to try and suppress the voting for those they are against. Usually this begins with Drudge posting supposed info from a supposed insider, and then Zogby hits the air and starts hinting - not so subtly - that things are drastically going the way they want them to go.
:grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke::grr::nuke:
They usually turn up the heat later in the day by, usually around 4PM or so, having first Drudge than others flat out say it is a done deal for their guy before the evening voting starts."

1. I am not giving up the fight, until Wesley Clark tells me to!
I am in it to the end.

5. Exactly. It is far too soon for Dems to align.
No one should switch their support for reasons other than what _their own_ take is on their candidates - i.e., based on the personal qualities/record of the person, not the media reputation. Why?

1. It gives the Repub media machine a false sense of complacency and the won't know for sure who they'll have to defend against until the last moment.

2. It's the correct and conscientious thing to do.

3. It allows more time for Dems to hash out the relative merits and faults of their candidate. When the Dem convention happens, they will know their candidate better and their support will be more solid. We want to be able to say "Yeah, we heard about that. No big deal, and this is why ..."

4. Any momentum bestowed by the corporate media at this stage in the game is an implicit endorsement by Rove.

Vote your convictions now. Save all of the other tactical considerations until later.
