Numerous events across the globe marked the third anniversary of the Iraq war on March 20. But nowhere in the United States did the numbers of protesters surpass 10,000, according to news reports. That's a far cry from the immigration rallies earlier this month that were said to have attracted 350,000 protesters in Washington, 500,000 in Dallas and 100,000 in Phoenix, plus tens of thousands in many other cities.

Even those who oppose the war say that without more of a sustained demonstration against action in Iraq, the anti-war movement will remain in the shadows.

2. Wow! The lies they tell at Fox 'News'!! And, btw, not envy, suspicion.

Corporate America, which backs Fox, stands to lose if illegal immigration doesn't continue. I read that some big organization of Corporations were sponsoring the demonstrations, including K-Mart, and the Corporate media covers the marches.

What should be happening is that there should be no 'illegals' here. All those marching should be given full citizenship, and proper salaries. But that wouldn't benefit the Corps who outsource and insource in order not to have to pay Americans what they need to earn in order to live here.

Thank god I don't get Fox ~ the lies they tell get bigger every day. Sign of desperation. I guess the half a million marchers in NYC scared them enough they had to lie about it! If they don't cover it, it didn't happen.

I asked my sister if she knew that there had been hundreds of anti-war demonstrations over the past several years. She said 'Really?' But she did know about the Immigrant marches.
