So why does tweety (C Matthews) focus on Hilary and 08 Presidentials |
|
this Sun morning? Is it that NBC (GE) wants those of the sound bite mentality to forget about the issues for the 06 Congressionals?

If they repeat the Hilary for President mantra often enough, they hope the sheep will buy it. They hate the Clintons and feel that she can be beaten. More divisional politics.

10. Cuz his bro is running for office and the GOP will help |
|
in direct proportion to the amount of time Chris spends parroting their talking points.
The GOP wants to run against Hilary in 08 so they are pounding that into our heads... or so they think.

14. I watched it and there was one VERY interesting quote |
|
One of the other reporters, not sure which one, said something to the effect that the businessmen and chamber of commerce types did not run the GOP anymore. To which Tweety replied, in shock;
"Not my party!"
Damn telling if you ask me.

Tweety and his buddy Fineman are the biggest purveyors of conventional wisdom in Washington. He doesn't want to challenge himself to cover anything except through the lens that's most readily available to him. Same reason he's been fellating McCain.
And I'm sure that when they do segments on Hillary and McCain, they know they will have ratings.
The only question is why he does a GOOD job on Plame. The answer, I think, is that he is an integral part of the plot, at least according to Joe Wilson, so covering it doesn't require any real research on his part.

17. Matthews KNOWS that Hillary DIDN'T POLL WELL in an extended focus group |
|
that was conducted by Frank Luntz recently. He won't discuss it - none of the newsies will because they want the Hillary-McCain battle.
On that clip of Matthews and DeLay while they were supposed to be off-air, Matthews asked DeLay if he heard about it - he said Hillary did poorly and Kerry did the best out of all the expected candidates.
This is something that NO MEDIA would report. Gee - If the study had turned out BADLY for Kerry and great for Hillary, the corp media would have shouted it 24/7 for weeks.
Too bad so many Dems get manipulated and sucked into repeating the media perceptions against our own, too.

22. Really weird that media CENSORED their own findings just so they could |
|
continue to promote a race between Hillary and Mccain that THEY WANT - they all know they're rooting for McCain and they want to see Hillary humiliated. They are THAT craven.

why he promotes both to get his desired McCain v Hillary race in 2008.

19. It's cheaper and gives the pundits something to do. |
|
This type of thing has no right or wrong answer and the people answering the questions about potential candidates will never be brought up to answer for when they are wrong.
This is a big yawn. Nobody knows anything anyway. It's too early.

24. I don't know what the Clintons did to Tweety but he hates them so much |
|
it is beyond ridiculous. I have written to him and to MSNBC about it repeatedly. His predjudice is always showing. He simply cannot discuss ANYTHING political without bringing it back to the Clintons. He is so biased in his coverage of anything Clinton that he has no credibility on the subject. Does anyone have a clue what they did to him? Or was he so outraged by a blow job in the oval office that it continues to have him seeing red.

25. I believe Hillary will make for the best TV |
|
Slamming Hillary every night is good for ratings. Just like Notre Dame has/had(?) that NBC contract because you either love Notre Dame or love to hate Notre Dame, but either way, it's good TV. That's the bottom line - it's good TV.
