6. Here is the link for live streaming for the cube rats

then choose your player.

I would get on now as once this gets around this morning, I figure the wait to get live streaming may be a problem.

12. He couldn't criticize the job Gen. Tommy Franks did re: Iraq
and that's one of the concerns those of us
have for his presidential run...if he won't
criticize fellow generals decisions if he becomes
President, we can't totally trust him to
give us the facts and truth is above all
what we need in our leadership.

13. Instead, he criticized RUMMY!!!
We didn't elect Tommy Franks. He's keeping this about BUSHCO.

14. But then he did criticize him
through indirection. "I think he did the best he could" and pointing out a series of failures in planning hardly constitutes a lack of criticism.

15. I didn't hear it that way
Clark said the military plan used was the wrong one, insufficient resources were provided, and that created a series of subsequent escalating problems. It's true that he chose not to pin the blame on Franks, but that was because he pinned the blame on Bush and Rumsfeld instead. Clark didn't exactly praise Franks, he said it's hard to know what orders he was under from above when he drew up his plans. Essentially Clark underlined and reinforced the message coming from the Retired Generals who have called for Rumsfeld to be fired. Rusmsfeld over rules commanders in the field routinely, pin the blame at the top of the chain.

16. I'm still unconvinced that as a military man he can't objectively
criticize another military man's strategy.

Tommy Frank no more deserved that medal of freedom
than did the other two Bush gave it to.

17. He objectively criticizes the entire Bush Administration military strategy
Edited on Mon May-01-06 06:14 PM by Tom Rinaldo
That is what really matters, and Clark consistently doing so as a Four Star General has been extremely valuable to the Democratic Party and to our nation. I can say that Clark is keeping the focus where it should be kept, and you can say that you are unconvinced he would criticize another General, but what is really important is having the policies and leadership of the United States Government effectively challenged, and Clark is always right there saying what needs to be said about the failures of both, and that ultimately is what counts.

18. That isn't the point
The point is to keep the pressure where it belongs, on Rumsfeld and Bush, who would love nothing better than to have this disaster be a critique of the Generals and military tactics on the ground, it takes all the heat off of themselves. You think this was all because of Tommy Franks, who has to salute and make do with whatever orders he is handed from the pentagon and the white house? Why do you think the Generals who served under Rumsfled are ripping him up now? Because he made their jobs impossible.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with "criticizing another military man's strategy". It has to do with putting the responsibility where it belongs, with the people who created the "strategy" and that wasn't Tommy Franks.

19. Hahahahahahahahaha....
Ask anyone who served under his command whether he can "criticize another military man's strategy."
