MSNBC just did a 15 min segment on the white house dinner last night
and comedians that roast the Presidents. Not a mention of Steven Colbert. This is a major shut out and it is so blatant that is is appalling.

1. Two words: Liberal Media
Mr. Colbert would be well advised to avoid taking any flights until this all blows over.

3. CNN just did cuts from both Colbert and that impersonator.
Nothing controversial, however.

6. I just saw that....
they only aired the 'lighter' moments of Colbert's tirade, such as intro to Mayor Nagin, 'we are in a chocolate city with a marshmallow center' comment. At least they aired some of it anyway.

I guess all the 'liberal' news people got together and decided to just ignore the whole thing, huh? Too bad, because I think everyone should see it, it was fabulous!

30. Either CNN doesn't know the difference between imposter and impersonator
or someone there knew exactly what they were doing when the used the word "imposter."

5. Cnn just did too....they mentioned Colbert----showed him
with some of his statements...the statements were cut in such a way that it ended up just sounding like a good-natured roast.

7. Yep. MSGOP is playing bush + double clips every 3 minutes.
Boy. That bush sure is funny! He's such a down-home guy! And he can take a joke...as long as he approved it!

I'm so happy those 2400 troops have died to preserve bush's right to tell jokes while they're bleeding! I say we
start a new war in Iran! Just imagine the funny jokes that will come out of that one!

13. Apparently lost on MSNBC how...
...badly it reflects on them to make pretend Colbert's speech wasn't newsworthy...not even a mention.
This speaks to how truly terrified they are of him and anyone with a following, who would expose corporate media for what they are.

15. I think the visual cut of Norah O'Donnell never looked so homely
Edited on Mon May-01-06 11:27 AM by ShortnFiery
I can't wait to hear her whine on Tweety tonight. :P

Shallow, gutless media lapdogs. They have no shame. :(

On edit, it was Susan Malvo NOT Norah O'Donnell who looked plain and absolutely pissed-off in Cobert's fake WH Press conference.

My Bad. Nooooo!

MS-NBC carried the correspondents' dinner live.

They showed the Helen Thomas skit in split-screen with a shot of the pResident's reactions the whole time.

more and more of the talking heads know very little about politics and the issues

it's more the ping pong approach to news - he said, then he said
