Repuke Senate $100 gas rebate=$10 billion transfer of taxpayers' money
to the oil companies (if paid to 100 million taxpayers, as proposed by Frist and the rest of the Repuke nitwit Senate "leadership), and provides nothing approaching an actual solution to the problem. $100 equals three (count 'em!) fillups in our Forrester, which will last us approximately three weeks. Thanks, Republicans!!

1. I'm glad I'm not the only one to see it that way
You're right, it is a giant giveaway to the oil companies. *If* they gave out $100 per citizen (or whatever) you can bet it'd be in the form of vouchers good for gas.

2. As I have post in other threads on this topic
this is like the Pukes tossing you a Quarter and telling you
"Go call someone who cares!"

They are still shielding the giant oil companies. And again trying to get their cake, Drilling rights.

3. That isn't even half of one-quarters profit.
Let's demand $500 rebate now and a $100 rebate every quarter, thereafter.

5. It's hush money to shut up the mouth breathers....
Who in their right mind would fall for this colossal load of bullshit?

It's our fucking taxes they would be using to pay us this $100 load of bullshit.

If perhaps it was 10 billion of the oil fuckers money, I would gladly take it.

what a bunch fucktard halfwits.

6. When Bu$hco wants to give you money: BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!
They want desperately to take our eye off the ball! Bu$hco's paymasters dread the alternatives that loom (and not necessarily in this order):

* Windfall profit taxes

* Prosecution for wartime profiteering

* Higher C.A.F.E. standards

* More hybrids on the road (short-term relief)

* More incentives for hybrids (short-term relief)

* An end to the war in Iraq

* A Manhattan Project-like program to develop energy alternatives/independence

* A Democratic victory in the November elections (necessary for most of the above)

* A Democratic victory in November with subsequent investigations of Cheney's Energy Task Force

* Impeachment proceedings against BigOil's puppet administration

The $10-billion giveaway is a win-win for Bu$hco. It is "hu$h money" that takes our eye from Bu$h's snake-oiled spit-ball, while lining his BigOil cronies' coffers with even more loot from the US Treasury.
