the phrase i quoted was exactly as it appeared on page 3 of today's Boston Globe ...

there's probably all sorts of license taken in matters like this ...

7. In the interests of truth-in-advertising,
I suggest that 'trickle-down economics' be renamed as

"tinkle-down economics"

because the fruits of it are enjoyed mostly by those doing the tinkling (as opposed to those getting tinkled on).
