I turned a republican into a democrat today
I am so happy. I wondered if she would change party affiliations. She has been coming to the democratic club...horrified by monkey boy and especially 9/11. Anyway, she wanted to start work on fund raising and had some great ideas. I noticed on the precinct sheet that she wasn't registered dem. I told her she couldn't play with us unless she re-registered and she said okay! She was a young republican in Chicago (!) and has great party building skills. I feel like our club made a coup!

4. Yay! Now check this out. My dad did it too.
Agnes is my dad's childhood doctor's wife. She's 104. My dad has been working on everyone he knows. He's possesed. At 82, he's working his best to get his old friends to convert. Well, Agnes respects my dad, and has finally decided that her party does not serve the best interests of this nation. I just love it. Let's hope she lives to see another election. Hooray!

And congratulations. What a victory BNL.

5. But are they convinced enough NOT to vote for a republican for
Edited on Tue May-02-06 01:06 AM by LaPera
Congress this November...That's the key...Most will fall back and say they don't like Bush, but then find any talking point or spin and end up voting republican, with some lame excuse about the Dem running...Old habits die hard.

Got to keep working on them!

6. Congratulations! You can only reach some folks one at a time :)
You just have to get them outside of their hive mind. :toast:

I know, I used to live in VA - now in ID. Surrounded on all sides at all times
