Attn: DSCC, DCCC, DNC, DLC, Various Caucii ... what's the 'plan'? |
|
I'm asking anyone who has something **more** than stock/pat answers, links to websites, or cultish bullshit, what are ANY of the various Democratic Party apparatus/institutions/groups doing about vote cheating in advance of the upcoming midterms.
Even as I type this, the shit is going through the fan in Ohio - AGAIN. This time it is 'no paper'. I mean, come on. A 'paper shortage'??????? How lame is that? And yet, nothing but the sound of chirping crickets from anyone in **power** in any of the various institutions on our side.
It is entitely possible I missed something. Convince me I did.
If we don't have a serious set of action steps and initiatives **in place** and fully ready to implement, we may well get fucked .... again.
Does ANYONE know of an actual, no bullshit, plan? If we can even know that there's a plan but whoever made the plan won't release the details, that's fine with me.
And please, don't insult me with a link to a lame page on some website that is nothing but platitudinous crap. I'll call you on that. We don't need bullshit and platitudes.
And I don't wanna hear that **I** need to do something ... or that **we** need to do something. Grassroots action is fine. but it takes time. That's fodder for another thread. This thread is about what the people we have to depend on **NOW** are planning to do. I know that lots of people in power are supporting and even funding candidates for the mideterms. Admirable and needed. I know others are building the party anew and/or repairing the parts that are ineffective or outright broken. Admirable. But if the vote counters are beyond our scope, we are, quite simply, fucked.
It is six months to the midterms and even less to the primaries - see Ohio - TODAY.
What's the plan?
What can I do to help?
What can we do to help?

I see news releases. I see stories. I see rails against this legislation and that. And it is all good stuff. No quarrel. But I don't see anything concrete.

13. What I'm looking for is to know what, exactly, any group who is |
|
held up as party leadership is doing about vote fraud, vote cheating, etc.
Where, for example, are calls for an 'army of lawyers' to be a 'go team' to intercede when shit happens .... like today in Ohio. You know ..... like we ***supposedly*** had in the 04 cycle. We all kinda sorta thought we were gunna fight in 04.
Where, for example, are calls for volunteers to be at polls with sepcific instructions on what to look for and what to do if one sees it.
Where, for example, are institutional challenges to outright malfeasance such as has been going on in Ohio .... and California .... and ..... and .... and ....
Where, for example, was ***any*** challenge when a man like Hackett was beaten by 'humidity' in his special election against Jean Schmidt.
That kinda thing.
As for calling the DNC .... I did. Spoke with some earnest young man who said he'd 'pass it on'.

5. I keep asking the same question here in Callifornia. |
|
Ever since the rethug APPOINTED SoS replaced the ELECTED Dem SoS! Now in direct opposition 2 the report his office commissioned, diebold machines have been certified. The Dems RUNNING for SoS say they will change the system. What they don't seem 2 process is THEY CAN'T BE ELECTED. California is about 2 B florhioed, and no one in the state Dem party seems 2 notice or care.

If you want to catch someone in the act you do your best not to be noticed watching them.

8. Do you have confidence in that? |
|
What you say is true ..... and in my OP I allowed for that and would be happy to accept such an answer.
But then I think of the 'army of lawyers' in 04.
We know how that went.

'Jones or Smith in '08?' we'd have a shitswarm of partisans saying what their guy or their group said, did, ate, thought, rejected, and lauded on every issue under the sun.
But to find any one of our 'leaders' who is protecting our votes ..... nada.

What government agency has the most experience rigging election results?
Now they wouldn't operate domestically would they? I mean we know they don't spy domestically, right? Oh wait that's a different "No Such" agency. I'm sure I'm just being paranoid.
If you ask me Democracy died when the signature dried on the National Security Act of 1947
