If This Happened in the Clinton Administration |
|
If the inspector of a department that dealt with preventing another terrorist attack had come out and criticized President Clinton and the leader of that department chosen by Clinton had come out and claimed that Clinton and the leader were not doing enough to prevent a terrorist attack Republicans would be making a fuss. Just minutes ago the former inspector general of the Department of Homeland Security claimed that President Bush, his administration, and Tom Ridge did not do enough to prevent a second terrorist attack on American soil. The man claimed that Ridge and the Bush Administration were not willing to listen to the problems and inadequacies of the Homeland Security department. He went on to claim that during the 2004 election Ridge held a meeting with him in which Ridge said to him "I had an inspector general in Pennsylvania and he did not put out so many negative reports about me why do you keep putting out negative reports about the department". The Homeland Security inspector told Ridge he put out the negative reports because Ridge was not in Pennsylvania anymore.
