What think you folks?

Judge Orders Polling Place To Stay Open Until 9:30 P.M.
Absentee Election Results To Be Delayed
http://www.newsnet5.com/politics/9144311/detail.html

UPDATED: 6:41 pm EDT May 2, 2006

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A judge ordered the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections to keep the polling location at Garden Valley Neighborhood House at 7100 Kinsman Ave. open until 9:30 p.m. Tuesday

When poll workers had trouble setting up the equipment in the morning, the polling place didn't open until 1:30 p.m. for voting.

Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones and Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Bryan Flannery were at Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Cout in front of Judge Nancy McDonnell requesting that the polls stay open late. The judge only ruled on the Garden Valley location.

With all the problems reported at the polls Tuesday, NewsChannel5 has learned that the absentee results will be delayed.

About 17,000 absentee votes will have to be hand counted because of a problem with optical scanners.

There were also reports of problems with the new electronic machines. Both machines are made by Diebold, NewsChannel5's Duane Pohlman reported.information.

6. I freely claim ignorance of the problems; I read the whole article.
It sounds to me that the whole election should be considered void at this point.

3. Oh. My. God.
If that happened here, there'd be rioting in the streets...

...by real people, not Republican operatives.

11. Machine-less? Huh?
There was only one guy who destroyed only one machine...

How are you going to get paper ballots hand counted in Cleveland in November?

What do YOU know that we don't???

Hmmmmmmm?

12. Because in 2004 Whitewell made sure the urban precincts
were woefully under-supplied. The next step will be to just not have ANY machines available to Dem voters. In truth, who will stop them?

10. **WE** will ensure a fair vote this November -
Because no one else is going to stand and deliver. Steps to a fair vote:

1. Begin educating yourself, your friends, family, local Dem and Green Parties, community about ALL of the methods of election fraud that are rampant today. Voter reg bias, voter intimidation, voter misinformation, dropping names from voter rolls, failing to count absentee/provisional ballots, sending crappy equipment/not enough equipment to Dem precincts, ballot shifting, ballot box stuffing, fraud with memory cards, central tabulators, rigged software, failure to enforce election laws...

2. Educate your representatives - city, county, state, federal - and tell them what you want: Voter marked ballots, hand counted. NOW!

3. Educate yourself - in detail - about your local and state election laws.

4. REGISTER EVERY PERSON IN YOUR COUNTY/STATE and make certain they have what they need to vote: ID, location of polling place and that they know their rights.

5. Campaign until you drop for Dems and GET OUT THAT VOTE. If everyone votes it is that much harder for them to commit fraud.

6. Organize election protection teams to make sure that voters who are challenged get a chance to vote.

7. Volunteer to work at the polls & help count absentee ballots. GET IN THE WAY OF THE THIEVES.

8. Organize parallel elections -- know how to do them and their benefits and limitations. Parallel elections can inhibit, detect, and challenge fraudulent election results.

9. Push the Dems to join our fight!

10. EVERY PERSON READING THIS POST CAN DO ALL OF THE THINGS LISTED ABOVE. How important is it that we win the House and Senate? End the Iraq War? Impeach the Chimp and his buddies?
