Longtime Senate President Robert Garton (R) conceded defeat this evening in a startling primary loss to challenger Greg Walker. This upsets the Republican apple cart in the wake of Gov. Mitch (former OMB in Bush first term) Daniels' mounting unpopularity.
Even more encouraging is the resurgence of Democratic voters in three districts believed to be competitive: the 2nd, the 8th, and the 9th, all currently held by Republicans. Check these numbers out:
2nd Democratic Joe Donnelly 22347 Steve Francis 4335 Republican Chris Chocola (I) 17018 Tony Zirkle 7198
8th Democratic Brad Ellsworth 16483 Republican John N. Hostettler (I) 11744
9th Democratic Gretchen Clearwater 1391 Baron P. Hill 10766 John (Cosmo) Hockersmith 537 Lendall B. Terry 420 Republican Sam Schultz 1709 Mike Sodrel (I) 7641
This isn't even close. If the election were held today, we would win all three of these seats!

1. The winner Greg Walker thought that the loser was too liberal |
|
Walker is a pro-life lunatic that chastized Garton for not bringing up some of the most extreme pro-life bills to a vote.
In another race, the 7th Congressional District, the Republicans voted for Eric Dickerson to challenge my Congresswoman, Julia Carson. I wonder how many pukes voted for Dickerson thinking that he was the former NFL running back instead of a car dealer.

etc, etc.
Democratic prospects look good in Indiana. Bush's poll numbers are very low in here too!

5. Ugh Pence...that slimy little ratbag. I want him gone! |
|
I don't want him darkening my TV screen any more with his smary self-righteous born-again goodness.
And Chocola, the simp.
And Buyer - that worthless tool.

Indiana Repubs are a particularly smarmy bunch. Can't wait to see Julia bitch slap the next punk that runs against her.

11. You got that right on Julia Carson. I pity the fool who tries to challeng |

her.
Ralph Reed was sent in a few years ago to run some GOP droid against her and she beat him like a rented mule.

14. Buyer and Pence are safe |
|
Unfortunately, Buyer and Pence are in pretty safe districts. Souder, not as much, but it would be a big surprise to see him lose.
Chocola, Hostetler, and Sodrel are going down.

15. If Chocola, Hostetler and Sodrel go down, well, it's just fine with me! |
|
They've brought nothing but Bush endorsements and misery to everyone in their path. Good riddance & let's get it done!
I'd love to see David Sanders whip Buyer. You're exactly right -- that's a tough district, but Sanders is very impressive. I've talked with him a couple times and he is incredibly bright and dedicated.

7. Mark Souder could get the boot too. |
|
Thomas Hayhurst is a local candidate with strong bipartisan appeal and a large campaign treasury. http://www.fortwayne.com/mld/journalgazette/news/local/14484341.htmI am betting that Souder, who has close ties to Tom Delay, bites it bigtime in November.

After June I will have a lot of free time that I hope to provide a lot of time to eliminate Souder from Congress and help a few others in the area.

...if it's like this in Indiana in the GE, we're gonna win by a landslide!
