I just found an article by Ann Coulter on domestic spying. What do y'all think of this excerpt:

"Americans." I have difficulty ginning up much interest in this story
inasmuch as I think the government should be spying on all Arabs,
engaging in torture as a televised spectator sport, dropping daisy cutters
wantonly throughout the Middle East and sending liberals to Guantanamo."

Knee-jerk, reactionary stuff, if you ask me. Does she really believe this stuff, or is she trying to be "funny"?

You know damn well if any of us said anything half as violent and hateful as what she spews every second of her life, the Gestapo would give us a visit in 2 seconds. some of that stuff is true. I could be that cynical about them and say the very same things in a manner that indicates i know that it is very wrong and anti-American. My values and beliefs are 180 to hers. She is able to defend and propagate hate and destruction. And then to stir this sentiment in a hulky testosterone pumped up college crowd. Her message desensitizes people to the horrors that are being perpetrated in our name. Notice she does not use the agency's name. They are spying on all Arabs. Torture is documented and spread onto the media. They have dropped daisy cutters on Arab people. They just haven't figured out how to send us to gitmo. I could easily foresee detention centers for anti-war stuff. They just pair it up with the word terrorists in the same sentence and say it on the national news 4 times and you have your new domestic war on drugs. New name same game. I don't think she is funny at all.
