1. Schmidt is the weaker of the two.
She'll be easier to defeat.

8. Agreed. I hope it happens. I'm still offended by her slam on
Congressman Murtha.

4. Hi, Magistrate. Yes -- a Democrat has a better chance against
Schmidt in November, and if that heavily Republican district goes blue, the chances for a Democratic majority in the U.S. House are very good.

3. Has Wilson been declared the winner on the Dem side?
I want to see that Nazi harlot beaten into a pulp.

some info, IndianaGreen.

How Wilson Won His Write-In Campaign
In OH-06, State Sen. Charlie Wilson's campaign and the DCCC...

--found more than over 900 volunteers
--made 281,522 calls
--knocked on 41,758 doors
--sent more than 4K personalized letters to absentee ballot requesters
--sent more than 380K pieces of mail
--went on TV in all 4 media markets, including being on TV in the largest two markets for over 3 weeks.

All for a Dem congressional primary.

I wish him the best of luck when she goes against that creature!

19. The Democrats nominated Victoria Wulsin. Considered a worthy soul,
she faces an uphill climb in such a strong red district.

6. I smell a rat here
I wanted Schmidt humiliated in the primary. If Diebold has its way, she'll be headed back to Congress to further embarrass Ohio.

Republican Party generally and in Ohio especially.

The state GOP must know that Schmidt is more vulnerable than McEwen. If they had decided to rig the election, they would have rigged it in favor of the stronger candidate, seems to me. Not sure about it -- just one person's opinion.

McEwen won several counties in the district but couldn't beat her in Hamilton and Clermont Counties, her base, where Cincinnati is and where she was president of that region's Right to Life organization for some years.

14. What if it's not the state GOP that was behind it...
but local officials beholden to Mean Jean in Clermont County? A similar thing happened in her race against Hackett last August.

Speaking of Hackett, who think it's too late to get him to run his very own write-in campaign against Ms. Jean "You Don't Know" Schmidt in November? Think the electorate would buy Schmidt winning against him again?

20. I think it would likely split the Democratic challenge into two camps.
Wulsin has won the nomination. Hackett joining now would make him look like a usurper, and divide the attack against Schmidt in November.

11. Clermont County
Clermont County is her core support area. McEwen was leading there before the Clermont & Hamilton counties came in.

Clermont's huge Schmidt tide carried her to the top as in 2005 in both the primary AND the general.

I predict this is McEwen's last race. He was defeated for re-election in 1992 by Ted Strickland, lost a 1993 comeback bid to Rob Portman, lost another comeback attempt in 2005 and just jost this one. He has lost 4 elections in a row in a 14-year timeframe!

I guess it's back to DC lobbying for McEwen!

13. Hi to you David & welcome -- again -- to DU.
I think this is our first path-crossing since your post on AS & wanted to thank you for the info and clarification on Schmidt's base. I thought she was Hamilton County because she has support there, but take your correction to Clermont. Appreciated.

Hope all's well your way.

She is not playing with a full deck.
