Libby has not yet been indicted on the main crime--outing a covert CIA agent, Valerie Plame, and the entire CIA WMD counter-proliferation network that she headed (Brewster-Jennings). In his press conference announcing Libby's indictment for perjury and obstruction, Patrick Fitzgerald said, a) that this is a grave matter of national security; b) that Libby has obstructed his investigation; and c) that he is determined to get to the bottom of it.

The reason there have not yet been indictments on the main crime is that Libby--and others in the Bush regime--are obstructing, covering up, lying, and "taking the falls" for their bosses. What may be coming this week is indictment of Karl Rove on similar charges--perjury, obstruction.
