CNN's Dobbs and Schneider LIE ASSES OFF about DEMOCRATS.....
Edited on Wed May-03-06 05:37 PM by KoKo01
Just listened to that snide, libertarian report from both Dobbs and Schneider where they say DEMOCRATS did NOTHING about LOBBY REFORM!

LIARS....LIARS....PANTS ON FIRE....

Here's my post about what DEMOCRATS "TRIED" to do in the CONGRESS TODAY.

Look at how CLOSE that VOTE was? And but for 8 DINO DEMS who voted with REPUGS we could have WON...

Here's my post on the REAL STORY of what went on today...and I'll bet that "Lurking DU'ers saw EXACTLY what I DID. Our HOUSE DEMS TRIED...and a POX from HELL on DOBBS AND SCHNEIDER for NOT REPORTING what Congresswoman Louise Slaughter did backed by the HOUSE PROGRESSIVES like Henry Waxman!

Dobbs had some hack on to trash our Congress...Libertarian/Norquist "Drown Government in a Bathtub" kind of TRASH TALK. But WHERE WERE Slaughter and Waxman...Where do "THEY" ever show DEMOCRATS???? :-( :nuke:

Here! Read this ....

1. Well, by definition, Dems did do nothing
because we didn't pass anything...

It bothers me when RWingers and BushBot sycophants say crap like that, though.

"The Dems have no agenda"

Well, we do, but no one lets us voice it, and its not like we can pass anything...

3. But doesn't it come down to this? "If Media Doesn't Report/Doesn't Exist?
Now if you want to get into a discussion about how Dems helped give away the "Fairness Doctrine for Media" under Reagan and the 1996 "Telecommunications Act" that Clinton passed and all the "tweaks" inbetween then I would agree with you.

But...WHAT is more important that the MEDIA WHORES/CORPORATE SYCHOPHANTS that we all pay to View these days? Shouldn't THEY be reporting for ALL AMERICA and not just REPUG/CORPORATE AMERICA? Don't WE PAY THEIR BILLS?

4. I think the Dems have no agenda thing is a RW talking point because
I have seen over and over again democrats on TV and in print saying what they will do, but it's totally ignored. I do wish though those 8 democrats who voted for this would have enough courage and keep the faith.

5. We are constantly shouted down
how do they expect us to have an agenda when no one will hear us out?

10. My take on the Dem's don't have any ideas thing goes like this
We are all in lifeboat America. This crazy guy, George W Gump is punching holes in the bottom of the boat. The GOP is screaming the Dem's aren't charting a new course and coming up with navigation 'ideas' (in other words they dug the hole and are demanding we find a way out while they continue to dig) I say it IS an idea that we stop the crazy guy from punching holes in the boat. We toss him overboard or tie him up and put him safely under the seat cushions. Then we can bail and look for land. IF we start looking for new charting arrangements we will end up on the bottom of the ocean. Its hard to chart a course once a lifeboat is UNDER WATER.

8. Sometimes they "seem" to do good reporting but we need to REMEMBER
They are both LIBERTARIANS. They don't believe in Government. In some ways they are with Grover Norquist who said we need to "Drown Government in a Bathtub."

If you watch Dobbs (and he's done "some good stuff" and Schneider can also be good against Repugs) but still they are "Libertarians" who don't believe in Government at all.

There guy Bush...sure loves BIG GOV'T, THOUGH! :D

7. If you've watched these votes over the years
It's always a few dino dems that cause us to lose. It's a pattern that's hurting us terribly and it's been going on for a very long time. On a vote so
important, it was up to Pelosi to pull each and every Dem on board, you know,
the way the Republicans do and WIN.

Sorry, I'll get flamed but I'm so sick of always losing because of the few cross
overs from our party. Then people like Dobbs and Scheinder use it to attack
the dems with a stick handed to them by the democratic party.

9. I know EXACTLY what you are saying.
Edited on Wed May-03-06 10:37 PM by KoKo01
And it can be discouraging, for sure. I still know that there is a group of Dems that I hope if we can win in 06 will challenge Pelosi and get her out of there. It's not popular here to dissent from Pelosi and Reid...but OMG! We can do MUCH BETTER than those two.

They seem really "out of touch." They both read from notes and forget sentences. I never felt either of them understood the PERIL America is IN today or that they connect with the PARTY ...out side their Beltway experience and the money they get from their "home Party." :-(

I know it's not popular here...but I've been around through lots of Dem Cycles and these two are the weekest spokespersons we Dems have EVER HAD!!! Time for them to go after serving their time of the "silent Dems."
