Censure gets us nothing. Impeachment gets us little more .....

..... when we take back some control in 06. And when we get the White House back in 08, what do we have, really?

To be sure, we have so very much more than we do now. We get back hope. We get back reason. We get back control.

But really. What do we get?

Before I am a Democrat, I am an American. Before I am an American,. I am a man. And before that, I am a citizen of rocketship Earth. My fellow citizens are in China and Ghana, in France and Fiji.

What my country's government has done, not just to Iraq, but to the world, is an abomination and nothing less. Some of my fellow Americans were and continue to be complicit at worst, enabling at least in all that has happened.

I have friends all over rocketship Earth. Most I don't know and never will, but some I do. In Asia, in Australia, in Europe, South America and Africa. I have living breathing real friends there.

How can I face them and expect a welcome unless I do something?

Unless we - all who are like minded and good - how can we face them unless we do the right thing.

Changing government is not the answer. It is merely a cycle.

We need to bring criminal charges and hold trials. Our leaders are, in fact and in deed, criminals. And as I have said before and will say again, the crimes they've committed have names. And proscribed penalties.

The crimes? Just for openers, try these three:

Crimes against humanity.

War crimes.

Treason.

Putting Democrats back in power is something I will work hard for. But that is not the goal, really. The goal is showing the world we are far better than just winning.

Good citizenship - on rocketship Earth - requires no less.
