"Important Barometer"...Bush approval rating in New Hampshire at 30%
Bush approval ratings in swing state NH, drop to lowest in presidency
Submitted by admin on May 1, 2006 - 10:58am.

DURHAM – A University of New Hampshire poll released Monday morning shows President Bush’s approval rating among those in the state at a new low of just 30 percent, the lowest of his presidency.

The approval ratings, according to UNH pollster Andy Smith, now put Bush in the “Nixon and Carter” range.

The poll is an important barometer for the Bush presidency since it comes from a swing state, and a state he even won in 2000.

Read the poll here.

3. Better late than never...here's more good news from USA Today:
Sour news for GOP in poll

By David Jackson, USA TODAY Tue May 2, 7:09 AM ET

A USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken Friday through Sunday found Bush's approval rating at 34%, two points under his previous low. He also received the lowest ratings of his presidency on his handling of the economy, energy and foreign affairs. He tied his previous low on Iraq: 32%.

:spray:

The poll showed Democrats leading 54%-39% among registered voters who were asked which party they would prefer in a congressional race.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan said the president is not focused on polls but "on achieving results for the American people."

A spokesman for the House Republicans' campaign committee, Carl Forti, said unhappiness with Bush doesn't doom the GOP's 29-seat House majority because "President Bush is not on the ballot."

Methinks we need to PUT him on the ballot. Every Dem in the country should be preparing Photoshop pics with Dubya BIG and prominent standing with their opponent. :)

A vote for my opponent is a vote for Bush.
