2. Are You Sure
Are you sure he is not being tried because he was tortured? Do you think it may be something more? I think it is someting more. I think it is possible that it could come out that the Bush Administration had previous knowledge of the attacks and did nothing to stop them. In the Moussaoui case it came out that an FBI agent tried 70 times to get Moussaoui arrested, but was not successful due to his superiors. I think it would be devesting for Bush and the Republican if more information came out that the point to the idea that they could have stopped the attacks and did nothing or did not as hard as they should have.

Kristin Breitweiser was on the "Today show" this morning and said that she had been told that torture was the reason these men were not being tried, but I still think there is more to the story. I guess they could have gotten Sheik Mohommad's name from torturing someone other than Mohommad, but as far as I knew they did not have to torture Mohommad to get him to admit that he planned the attacks. I thought that when he was caputred it was announced that he was the planner behind the attack.

3. Of course I am not sure
It was just the first and most logical reason that came to me. Your take certainly has merit. Mine is just A reason that makes sense not the only possible one
