The brilliant simplicity of bush's energy plan |

The man is a genius I tell ya.
USNews&World Report interviewed Philip Vergler who served in the Treasury Dept under Pres Carter.
Q: Pres bush is going to stop adding crude oil to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. What impact will that have?
A: Since we don't have any refining capacity now, none. THE TANKS ARE FULL.
So bush is not going to put more oil into full tanks - BRILLIANT
But there's more from the hero of the religiously insane:
"YOU GOT TO RECOGNIZE THERE ARE LIMITS TO HOW MUCH CORN CAN BE USED FOR ETHANOL. AFTER ALL, WE GOT TO EAT SOME." BRILLIANT
No wonder this man is still loved by tens.

1. MT's Gov at least trying to help raise corn (and other goods) without oil |

Folks, gas is high, but so is diesel. The food you eat gets grown and transported with big ol equipment which runs on fuel. We need to find alternative fuels NOW for the short term to buy us some time to fix the problem long term.
If bush policies are allowed to stand much longer, we won't be eating corn. Pretty soon, we will be eatin' dirt.
