Presidential Prayer Team's perfect gift for NeoCon Chickenhawk friends
Enjoy The Lord is My Rock Dog Tags:
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust.

Receive three (or more) The Lord is My Rock Dog Tags this month - our way of saying "thanks" for your generous gift to The Presidential Prayer Team.

Dear Team Member,

What better message of hope and encouragement could you give to your loved ones or send to an American soldier than this wonderful promise of Psalm 18:2?

The Lord is My Rock Dog Tags:

* are made of lasting military grade metal, and show your patriotism;
* come engraved with a biblical promise of safety;
* can be worn like military dog tags;
* can be affixed to a purse or briefcase or keychain;
* remind users of God's protection;
* let people know you are praying for them;
* help us remember to pray for those we love.

Did you know that more than 350,000 members of our Armed Forces are on active duty around the world (many more here at home)? They’re protecting us--putting their own lives on the line and taking incredible risks every single day. These men and women have made a commitment to our nation that we can never fully repay. Their sacrifices...and those of the loved ones who wait and pray for their safety...deserve our support and our respect. Even more, they deserve our prayers.

So I’m encouraging you today to send The Lord is My Rock Dog Tag to a member of our military, as well as getting some for yourself and for those you love. If you were in constant danger, or simply far away from home, you would want your loved ones praying for you! Now we have a practical way to convey a meaningful message of hope and encouragement to our loved ones and to our troops with The Lord is My Rock Dog Tag.

The Lord is My Rock Dog Tags are available in a package of three for your gift of $30. (Additional dog tags are only $10 apiece.)

To order your dog tags today, follow the simple steps below:

YES, John I want to encourage our troops and my loved ones by letting them know that I’m praying for them. I also want to support the ongoing work of The Presidential Prayer Team. I've provided a generous gift below; please send me The Lord is My Rock Dog Tags.

1. I pray for the Preznit every day ...
... but I know better than to say here exactly what I pray for.

2. It costs money to pray?
Step One: Indicate your generous gift amount below.
$30 $50 $70 $100 $150

Or is that just to "promote" the Presidential Prayer team?

And those dog tags surely don't cost $10 to make.

4. But they're "made of lasting military grade metal"...
:evilgrin:

They seem to have taken a page from the book of Paul and Jan Crouch, founders of TBN ("Trinity Broadcast Network"), who will send you some little insignificant trinket in exchange for your monthly "love offering."

Maybe the $30, $50, $70, $100, $150 could be better spent on things like body armor, if people really want to help.

9. I suspect that this John Lind has a nice little racket going.

3. Send a dog tag to a soldier in Iraq?

Ummm... how 'bout "You're going home"?

5. Yes, that was my reaction as well.
I guess you'd have to ask an actual soldier in the line of fire what receiving one of these tags would mean to them, but I'm thinking the person who sent it is safe and warm and at home with their loved ones and maybe that's what the soldier wants more than a red, white & blue dog tag.

6. Maybe one of these will stop a bullet
It can't be any worse than the POS armor we're forcing them to work with.

7. Why all the emphasis on "gift"?
Edited on Thu May-04-06 11:06 AM by Karmakaze
Are organisations such as this not allowed to sell a product, so they have to come up with some sort of verbal gymnastics to skate around the rules? Or would simply selling these dog tags be too crass?

8. From Cake's "Comfort Eagle" CD...
"We are building a religion,
We are building it bigger,
We are widening the corridors, and adding more lanes
We are building a religion,
A limited edition
We are now accepting callers for these pendant keychains"
