Clark supporters -- step away from the panic |
|
Come on folks. The leading polls in OK going into today's primary showed it a stastical near tie for 1st place. The fact that the race is close ISN'T a surprise. Wes Clark will win OK outright or tie for 1st for all practical delegate purposes.
He will get a nice delegate haul from a strong 2nd in AZ. He will probably also garner delegates in NM & ND. This isn't a BAD day. Let's just wait until the votes are counted and then react. Some of you are too quick to let cable news pundits and right-wing web sources jerk your chain.

7. The media have been saying he was out of it for weeks. HAH! |
|
The longer Clark is in the race and placing competitively, winning delegates, proving the media wrong despite their lack of coverage, the worse it makes the media look; the more obvious the media's bias becomes.
And the more obvious it becomes that Clark is really very, very electable. Even without Edwards' good looks or Kerry's ties to the political in-crowd.
Clark has only one thing going for him: HE IS THE BEST CANDIDATE IN THE RACE, by resume, temperament, and message.
I still believe that America is a democracy. I still believe that Clark will be our next President.
Anyone whose candidate stops running in the next few days, you're welcome to come join me in the Clark camp and support the best man still running.

9. Agreed. Quit buying into media hysteria |

Hey, forget the media pundits; let's let the General decide what the strategy is and what he's going to do. And so long as he's out there (all the way to the WH, I hope), my checkbook & I will be behind him.
2nd place across multiple states would still be positive momentum for Clark (sadly, no catchy "Joementum" phrase available), and anything above that would be godlike -- especially in light of the media blackout on the candidate. *Should* Gen. Clark not win Oklahoma, I pray that he doesn't take his son's advice; there's still a long way to go in this race, and the longer he's in the more people will get to know him.
Of course, it's up to Wes. I certainly don't want him to get in a financial bind in his effort to fight for us. (He doesn't have a vast fortune with which to underwrite his campaign, ya know.)
Keeping my fingers crossed for a good showing today.
