New poll, only 30% of US supports Bush on Iraq |
|
A new poll just out by Angus-Reid shows that only 30% of Americans support Bush on the Iraq war. That is a new low since the polling on the matter started. But the numbers seem conflicted on whether the US did the right thing going to Iraq in the first place.
Here are the numbers; 1, Do you support Bush on Iraq now? Yes; 30% No; 64% May 2005; Yes; 38% No; 57% October 2004; Yes; 45% No; 50%
2, Do you think the US did the right thing in invading Iraq, or should we have stayed out? Yes; 44% No; 51% Not sure; 5% March 2006; Yes; 41% No; 54% Not sure; 5% February 2006; Yes; 41% No; 54% Not sure; 5%
While the presidents support has dropped, more people think it was the right thing to invade in the first place.

1. The rise in support for the war is due to the drop in media coverage |
|
There is virtually NO war coverage in the MSM anymore. Beyond a brief mention of KIAs, I haven't seen a US battle casualty story on TV in months.
