Tweety: Rove will scare the hell out of voters with visions of impeachment
Just now, on Scarborough.

Tweety named John Conyers as someone for voters to be concerned about and said that Rove's strategy will be to go into about ten states and "scare the hell out of voters" by telling them what the Democrats will do if they take control of the House and Senate: spend the next two years trying to censure, impeach, and generally fuck with Lord Bunnypants.

I say: BRING IT AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

1. I think Rove might be resigning soon...
But, do you think I'm that concerned about the RW propaganda machine in regards to John Conyers or possible impeachment when Bush's popularity could very well be in the 20s by November? I'm more concerned about them getting even uglier than the Swift Boaters in each individual race in the Senate and in some key House races.

8. And your concerns are well placed, because...
...the "genius conclusion" that Scarborough and Tweety came up with for reversing Bush's poll numbers is that he will have to win the war in Iraq.

:silly:

So factor in rising fuel costs (I paid $3.55 today at Chevron), wage stagnation, and the rest of Bush's failed "domestic agenda" and yes...it's possible for him to hit the 20s in November, and that means the only tactic left will be to smear mercilessly.

I'm talking "call voters in the deep south and ask them how they feel about John McCain's illegitimate black child" types of smears...the ones Rove built his reputation on. Even if he's tied up in Fitzmas, his playbook is a matter of public record.

20. Hopefully, we'll find out if tomorrow is Fitzmas
I read in The Washington Post and on a few websites earlier this week that the grand jury is supposed to convene tomorrow.

Let's hope that Mr. Fitzgerald holds a press conference before the major dailies are put to bed Friday evening.

16. You're right. It might scare Tweety and the beltway whore crowd
What was Clinton's approval rating when he was impeached? What is chimpie's now? Who the hell would be scared? Richard Cohen? Christ! The beltway whores are dumber than a bag of rocks.

28. Tweety is so out of touch it's almost embarassing to watch!
No matter what goes wrong, according to him, it's never Bush's fault. He always pumps out questions like: who told him to do that, who advised him, etc. Yesterday when talking about how the adm. got intelligence that there were no WMD before they started the war...his remark was: so everyone knew and they didn't tell the president! One of his guests set him straight and said they ALL knew.

And he's always shocked that the so-called good economy doesn't cause Bush approval ratings to go up. As if we are all suppose to be applauding in our living room everytime the Dow goes up! As if we all own shares of blue chip stock!! Doesn't he realize that what those numbers mean to most Americans is that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer!

29. You are way off base - Tweety is right - this *is* the '06 repug strategy
You are attributing what tweety is reporting to tweety;

Mary Matalin starting spewing this just yesterday

Liz Dole is doing it too. Read this DU thead:

11. Support for impeachment of Clinton
support for the impeachment of Clinton peaked at 38%, despite nearly round the clock play on the news and Republicans staying on message on impeachment for months on end.

support for impeachment of Bush is already over 50% with almost no play in the media... any talk of impeachment is derided as talk of the way out there looney left. I'm happy to know that us way out there loony leftists are over 50% of the country!

Maybe Tweety's the one who's scared about seeing Bush in an orange jumpsuit.

7. That very well be Rove's plan, BUTTTTTT
it will only work IF the majority of voters DON'T want that to happen!

Wonder if Rover thought of that?

12. Well, Tweety's trying to imply...
...that Rove will present it as the ONLY thing Democrats will focus on.

No domestic agenda, nothing on the economy, nothing but chase Bush. Which is ludicrous, but not impossible. We can only hope that if Rove does try to pull that stunt the American people will be smart enough to see through it.

15. These people are not thinking logically!!!!!!
Too frickin Hilarious!

Point #1---68 percent of this country has had it with Junior and his circus parade of stupidity.

Point #2---Since the vast majority of US citizens DO NOT APPROVE of this pResident---how can impeachment SCARE them?

Point #3--That 68 percent--upon hearing that the Dems would "censure, impeach and generally fuck with Lord Bunnypants"--would be frickin delighted into whoppin-and-a-hollerin oblivion.

So please, Mr. Rumsfeld. If you want to try and scare the American people, why don't you try something that's scary....NOT THE BEST FUCKING NEWS WE'VE HEARD SINCE THAT RAT BASTARD WAS SELECTED!!!

Don't they get it? Most people DETEST Junior and disapprove of EVERYTHING he's doing.

Wake up, psychos!

31. I disagree. The Clinton impeachment appealed to a certain puerile
instinct in some, but George's impeachment will drag up all kinds of nasty stuff, and people will get pissed off.

His "new job" at the White House is totally political. I'm glad we're paying his salary so he can organize against Democrats.

functions--something sorely lacking in the five plus years of the Republican rubber stamp Congress, I might add. Kennedy was asked about this in a recent appearance on one of the Sunday talk shows.

This was his response in regard to the question of whether Democrats would pursue impeachment if they regained control of Congress in November.
