Kennedy Kennedy Kennedy
Ted's son was probably drunk driving.

Ted's son was probably given preferential treatment.

Ted's son may well have inherited a family predisposition to addictions.

Ted's son made a statement through a spokesperson.

Ted's son was involved in an incident in which the Capitol Police were involved.

Ted's son has met the ire of the same Capitol Police union as did Rep McKinney some weeks ago. Maybe it was even the same spokesperson.

Ted's son was apparently treated like any other member of Congress.

Ted's son is, today, the distraction du jour.

Teevee has a whole series of camp followers available and they're using them all. Historians looking back to Chappaquiddick. William Kennedy Smith's case is being examined. Michael Skakel is bing discussed. Various pop psychologists are vicariously crawling through the innards of Rep Kennedy's brain, telling imagined tales of imagined reasons why they imagine he's a bad guy.

Is there no other newz today?

We learned less about Cheney's shooting incident in a week than we already know about this minor incident involving Patrick Kennedy.

Liberal media my gnarly ass.

Yuck, don't want to see those photos -- but got my attention.

Haven't heard that, before. Source please?

13. It's been a long time since I read that, not sure where it came from.
He didn't pose for photos, it was for an art class at a college, when he was a young man. Not sure if painting or sculpture, but a couple of (now elderly) women were students in this class. They remembered "Big Dick" Cheney quite well, if you know what I mean...

16. Just did a search for it, didn't find anything other than a mention on a
blog. I suppose Cheney might have been decent looking when he was younger, I've never seen any pictures of him in his 20s or 30s. But it was very evident from the comments that his face wasn't the big attraction.

17. I didn't even know life classes were legal in Wyoming.
Certainly not in the mid-1960s.

I don't remember Matt Drudge or the rest of the media making a big deal about the Bush twins and there drunken altercations the way there making a big deal about Kennedy or in fact Laura Bush and the car accident where she accidentally killed someone in Texas in fact from what i hear the records are sealed on that case.

2. Stupid media is like a pack of rabid dogs!
Our watchdogs, my ass.

Media is purely profit driven these days in a way I've never seen before in my old lifetime.

7. Barely even a fender bender, it was a scrape.
You'd think he'd run down a former girlfriend.

Or been arrested for drunk driving.

Or lied to America to start a war.

Or was head of the must corrupt Administration and Congress in United States history.

It's an outrage that this is being given so much coverage. Keep your eyes and ears open, though. There's another story developing somewhere. One that's bad for the Repugs. This is only a diversion - I just know it!

10. Friday night news dump will have Fitz's evidence against Libby
long with a witness list, specified in a memo to be released by Judge Walton later today. Lots of good reading there.

Definitely not a parking-lot scrape, that one.

Not really even an "accident."

18. Is it me, or is it getting obvious that the Capitol Police are out...
...targeting Democratic Reps?

First Cynthia McKinney, and now Rep. Kennedy for Rhode Island?

Also, I read here somewhere that the Repubs in Rhode Island are down in the polls.

Could this be an attempt to make one of Rhode Island's more high-profile Democratic Reps look bad using the Capitol Police for political gain?

And here I though Delay was out....

in their past.

Hell, my family is half that large and we make the Kennedys look like choirboys.

12. Like I said in another post--Can we just drop this?
I've heard more about it here at DU than on the MSM.

We are surely helping the other side keep this in sharp focus.
