The Kennedy story - a different angle |
Since Kennedy got his drugs from the congressional doctor I wonder if "conservatives" will now call for all of us to get that kind of service or for congress to give up that perk and get their own damned insurance?

1. I have to wonder if the doctor warned kennedy about the possible... |
adverse effects of that drug.

2. I believe that is a federal law |
Everytime a prescription is filled the patient gets all the warning stuff in writing. Don't know if the Doctor orally warned him. When my Dad was dying of Cancer he took 17 pills a day and we'd get the same warnings every time we refilled his prescriptions.

3. I believe that this could be checked with the "congressional doctor" |
pretty damn easily, since they could use the "Rush Limbaugh doctor-shopping fishing expedition" example to claim that the liberals were trying to bury the truth . . .

4. Maybe I'm missing something.. |
but I got the impression that he was claiming that the drugs made him so out of it, that he got up in the middle of the night and starting driving to the Hill because he thought he had to get to a vote? Almost like he was sleep walking? I've heard of things like this happening, by the way, so it's not that far-fetched.

6. There have been many instances of Ambien |
causing sleep walking and "sleep driving" in individuals. My sister was involved in an accident of this nature 2 months ago. The last thing she remembered was going to bed after taking her new medication (ambien), which she had only been on for about 2 or 3 weeks, and waking up when she hit a telephone pole. She had no idea where she was and, according to police reports, was very delusional about her surroundings. She was trying to light a pencil like it was a cigarette. Blood tests revealed no other drugs or alcohol in her system.
