Did Anyone Catch How CNN Came To Talk About Hookergate.... |
|
the news chick was interviewing Bob Barr. She kept on saying something to the effect that this resignation is strange. Doesn't add up. Almost like something else prompted this resignation. She kept up this banter with Bob Barr until Bob Barr brought up the prostitution scandal. After that - all bets were off and they went on discussing this notion.
It was clear that CNN didn't want to come out and talk Hookergate themselves - that they needed someone like a Bob Barr to bring up the topic - so that they can then justify following up on it and talking about it.
Anybody else catch this?

1. They have been avoiding this like the plague; note all the |
|
attention on Kennedy. But they're no longer able to do so, what with Goss resigning. As Martha would say, "It's a good thing!" :toast:

2. It's more convenient that way. They're following one from the |

Republican Playbook: Blame someone else for it.

3. I am trying to find news on this.... |
|
...Have I been living in a cave?
This is the first I've ever heard of "Hookergate". Barr seems to be talking about it, in connection with Cunningham--as if this was always known.
I didn't know!
If anyone can get me up to speed, I'd be eternally grateful.

8. I think so! Then too it could be a John Negroponte power |
|
play. The flap is that Negroponte had no control over the CIA and it bugged him.
How does a Iran/Conta convict become a rising star? Negroponte was busted big time for lying to Congress.
