Can we please get a NON-partisan professional in there?

You know the type. They're hired to clean house, and when that's done, they go too. He de-Democrated the Intelligence community, and now his work is done.

At least that's the company line. Goss was in that job before Blackbridge got his. Goss was clearly there to clean house of folks with brains and native intelligence that was greater than their partisanship. Now Blackbridge is saying he wants his own guy in there. (I'm thinking it will be someone who was involved in that little Central American dust-up a few decades back.)

Now, the other possible back story is perhaps more sinister. It may be that Goss was there for one purpose only, and that happened on the Night of the Long Knives. That done, he may now be so distrusted that no one will work with him. In either case, Blackbridge gets to put in his own thuggish stooge.
