1. Yeah, so far nothing ...
... which, of course, is really a hoot because we all know that that is ALL the 'reporters' are talking about with each other.

The Washington news media types are such snobs ... and this proves it. It's like they know why Porter probably resigned, but the common people out in America shouldn't have their innocent ears soiled with the words "Republican" and "hooker" coupled together.

Bush and Cheney are the ones who should have resigned --- and THAT is what all of us progressives should be saying.

11. Newt was having sex with intern while attacking Clinton about Monica
press knew this BUT NEVER REPORTED IT all the time pontificating about how Clinton had damaged the US, etc.......they decided US citizens didn't NEED to know this

that was the absolute end of any faint respect I might have had for the press

4. Cunningham--A little historical refresher....

I do not vouch for the source, it's just the first thing that popped up on my search.

EDITORIAL
Duke’s House of cards
Friday, December 02, 2005

THE THING ABOUT LYING, your mother probably told you, is that the more lying you do, the deeper the hole you dig. That familiar lesson was apparently lost on good ol’ Duke Cunningham.

The grizzled Vietnam War veteran turned right-wing Republican resigned his seat in Congress this week after he pled guilty to accepting $2.4 million in bribes from defense contractors. Over the years, Cunningham accepted a staggering list of gifts and sweetheart deals in exchange for his vote and influence.

What you won’t read about in these mainstream press accounts is the other double life led by the closet case, Duke, the anti-gay conservative.

Cunningham, who is married with grown children, has admitted to romantic, loving relationships with men, both during his Vietnam military service and as a civilian. That was the remarkable story that this publication reported two years ago, when Elizabeth Birch, the former Human Rights Campaign leader, inadvertently outed Cunningham at a gay rights forum.
I haven't seen any mention as to the gender of the prostitutes involved in Hookergate. I only know that Jeff Gannon was in the White House like a hundred and ninety-seven times.

6. His Resignation Without Explanation Sends Up All Kinds Of Red
flags! Not even the usual.... "I want to spend more time with my family!" Something is up, even The Idiot's response was tepid! Saying he served "ably" and that says almost all of it!!

Goss hails from my part of the country and I can recall back in '88 campaigning AGAINST him! But he won, it's so red here!

9. Where is that?
I was wondering because if I am not mistaken he's one of the good ole boys from Yale. I knew someone who was at Yale at about the same time as Porter. He said he couldn't stand him! At the time I didn't know that much about him (this was in 2004).
