Hayden (NSA) named DCI ...... discuss

That's our native grown vampire, black ops expert, and skeleton burier extraordinaire John Blackbridge on the left, and our new DCI, Gen Michael Hayden, NSA domestic spy guy and Blackbridge acolyte on the right.

Together, these two have consumed more human blood than Jeff Damher.

What are the possible consequence of a Blackbridge acolyte running the CIA and Rummy with his own shop down the road?

Will he get Senate confirmnation or will there be some actual republican opposition, too?

Will aany of OUR Senators vote yes on this man?

My head is spinning as fast as my heart is sinking.

1. Doesn't this just bring the whole domestic spying issue to
the Senate to debate in the context of a confirmation hearing?

4. The chances of that are entirely in the hands of
our 'friends across the aisle'.

In short, I have no idea. We can only hope that there are ****just**** enough of them who want to get some daylight between themselves and Il Dunce to take a stand on this.

The CIA employees can't stand the thought of the new boss. Their will be a mass exodus of skilled employees from the CIA.

9. Thats what I was thinking,
if they bother to ask good questions. But will he even be put under oath or refuse to answer the questions and if he refuses will they simply confirm him anyways.

...and that was just before breakfast.

Kos Hayden Diary

May 10, 2005--General Michael Hayden, the man George W, Bush selected to be the deputy to new National Intelligence Director John Negroponte, has presided over the systematic dismantling and demoralization of America's premier technical intelligence collecting outfit--the National Security Agency (NSA).
According to NSA insiders, Hayden's seven-year tenure at the agency, the longest for any NSA director, has witnessed the cashiering of experienced analysts, linguists, and field personnel and the crippling of America's ability to protect itself.

All this and the guy's a babe.
