NEW YORK (AP) -- Valerie Plame, the former CIA operative whose unmasking led to a federal investigation and the indictment of a top vice presidential aide, has agreed to a book deal with the Crown Publishing Group.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but two sources close to the negotiations said the deal was in the low seven figures. Several publishers had competed for the memoir, scheduled to come out in the fall of 2007 and tentatively titled "Fair Game."

In 2003, White House adviser Karl Rove reportedly said Plame was "fair game" after her husband, former U.S. Ambassador Joseph Wilson, accused the Bush administration of distorting intelligence about Iraq to justify going to war.

"She will tell her whole story, absolutely," Crown's publisher and senior vice president, Steve Ross, said Friday. "This book will be the first time the public will get to hear about her work and the surprising role she had in intelligence gathering in the lead-up to the war in Iraq."

1. I wonder if this will become a Catch-22? If they try to shut her
up claiming the secrets act, then they have to admit the outing of Brewster-Jennings and Plame was treasonous. If they let her publish, this could become a major expose and embarrassment. Interesting. Well, at least to me.

I am looking forward to either the book or the war.

4. Catch 22
Hmmm? Hadn't thought of that. Interesting observation. Either way, they've really screwed themselves, to quote the vpuke, "Bigtime"! Let's see just how far they try to take this to remain in power. They've proven they'll do just about anything. The Iraq mess sure proves that. "October suprise" is always an option?! Let's see just how far the American people will let them reign and rule with reckless abandon. We all have our "enough is too much" moment. They're way past governing anything. Scary lot, for sure. We just gotta keep hammerin' them. It's good to see Will Pitt back. He swing's a good hammer. I read him on truthout.org, also. True patriot. So, let's keep hammerin' folks!!!

2. Treasonous game, indeed.
I'm sure this is going to be an interesting read, to say the least. But, I hope it's old news by then if Fitz gets to do his thing and alot of this info comes courtesy of the special prosecutor. Just the fact that she was working on Iran related WMD and got outed, is truly treasonous, indeed. They can spin it however they want. Treason is STILL punishable by death! Anyone that still buys into this crime regime's shit is either stoned, stupid, new or one of them!

6. Bush admin ruined her career and earning potential
So as far as I am concerned, she can do with the money what she needs to - support herself, send her children to college, etc etc.
